It’s almost time for the best bodybuilders in the world to wage war on the Mr. Olympia stage. Taking to YouTube on October 3, 2024, King Kamali (real name: Shahriar Kamali) discussed whether or not Olympia will host the Men’s Open prejudging late at night and gave his thoughts on what Andrew Jacked has to accomplish to win the sport’s most prestigious title.

It’s been a powerful bodybuilding season for Andrew Jacked. His towering stature and aesthetic shape have helped him reach incredible heights in the IFBB Pro League. In his last Mr. Olympia contest, he managed to crack the top five in 2023, which served as a promising sign of his future in the sport.

The Nigerian native got right back to work during the latest bodybuilding season, as he set his sights on a third Texas Pro title. He dominated the event with a super-sized physique, tipping the scales at a blistering 299 pounds, which secured him a much-needed qualification for the 2024 Mr. Olympia contest.

With a stacked lineup on deck and bodybuilding veterans giving their expectations, King Kamali joined in on the fun to reveal why Jacked could possibly defeat fellow frontrunners Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford assuming he brings conditioning like never before.

King Kamali Says Everyone Will Be Off If 2024 Olympia Prejudging Is Late, Lays Out How Andrew Jacked Can Win Open Title

First and foremost, Kamali underlined that if Olympia hosts the Men’s Open prejudging late at night again, every competitor will appear off and not at their best.

“I’ll say it right now, Dave, I’ll put it on my shoulders, I am, I’ll say it, I’ll take the blunt right now. Are you putting prejudging on at midnight again? If that’s the case, they are all going to be off again!”

He argued that Andrew Jacked’s front lat spread, back double biceps, and abdominal and thigh shots are among his best poses on stage. Many fans also believe Jacked’s front double biceps pose is top-notch. Ultimately, Kamali suspects he has a shot at claiming gold if he comes into the show shredded.

“Front lat spread, there could be an argument for the back double bicep, the abdominal and thigh shot, he’s in there, he’s definitely in there. And from the conversations, the text messages that I’ve been having with him back and forth, he knows, he understands that he needs to come in shredded.”

Kamali also suggested that Jacked’s added size could be a difference-maker as well as if he brings striated glutes on stage. With those weapons, he maintains that Jacked ‘is right there’ gunning for the title.

“But, can Aceto keep him full so we can see that 20 pounds? It’s visible if he can show us those 20 pounds with striated glutes, he’s going to be right the fuck in there. That’s the million dollar question [if he’ll have striated glutes].”

“Like I said, if he shows an improvement in conditioning with the 20 pounds, where the 20 pounds are visible and if we can see it and be like oh shit there it is right there, there’s the 20 pounds, he’s right in there man,” explains King Kamali.

He credited Jacked for making progress on his posing as well.

“100 percent [he’s getting better with his poses],” adds Kamali. “He used to purposely blow it out [his front double biceps] to give himself a more muscular look.”

This is far from the first time King Kamali has evaluated the Men’s Open roster expected to storm the stage next weekend. Despite Choopan and Lunsford being considered the on-paper favorites, Kamali refused to dismiss Nick Walker‘s chances. He believes ‘The Mutant’ is incredibly dangerous, having recently suggested that he could ‘crush’ Hadi Choopan with his ironclad back poses such as the rear double bicep and back lat spread.

Andrew Jacked will no doubt face a historic field of threats when he takes to the stage for his third Mr. Olympia appearance. If history is an indicator of the future, Jacked has never dropped placings on the marquee stage. Don’t miss his attempt to earn gold at the 2024 Mr. Olympia competition from October 10-13 when the event kicks off to celebrate its historic 60th anniversary!
