Kristy Hawkins is an absolute savage when it comes to moving lots of weight. But she’s also a chemical engineer and believe it or not, a former professional bodybuilder who earned her Pro card back in 2007. She also placed 7th at her first Ms. Olympia competition in 2009.
But she found her love in lifting maximal loads just two years later in 2011 which we think was definitely a good move for her. And since then, she has been able to set the squat, bench, deadlift, and total (690 kg/1521 lbs) world record at 165lbs in the WRPF and SPF.
But she most recently hit a big squat PR of 300kg/661lbs which is some serious weight…
You can check it out below and this is what she wrote on Instagram…
“Since I was training for a big squat in the #animalcage last weekend at the Arnold, I went for a PR tonight @ 290kg/639lb and then I had to go for 300kg/661lb…this definitely felt a little scary and I cut it high but I didn’t die so that’s cool.
Thanks to the late night crew @bossbarbellclub for the spots and moral support! #pugsandpowerlifting“

We’re sure there will be many more big lifts to come for Kristy Hawkins. But in the meantime, watch the epic showdown when Kristy Hawkins and Brianny Terry went head-to-head at the 2019 Slingshot Record Breakers in November last year!
