Kyle Kirvay is the display of the perfect mix between bodybuilding and powerlifting, possessing an incredible physique but also moving some mind-blowing weights. In turn, he was one of the most interesting guests in the ‘CAGE’ by Animal, which was a part of the 2025 Arnold Sports Festival from February 27th – March 02. Many athletes came to showcase their strength, but Kyle was one of the standout ones. Namely, he managed to squat 800 pounds (362.9 kilograms) for six incredible repetitions.

Kyle Kirvay is an IFBB Pro but has also been exploring the world of powerlifting. So, not only is he capable of performing sets of multiple reps, but he also often loads an incredible amount of plates. This was the case in the ‘Cage’, where he decided to perform an AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible) with an 800-pound (362.9-kilogram) squat. In order to do so, Kyle put on a lifting belt and knee sleeves, which makes it a raw lift.

It is important to note that all of Kyle Kirvay’s squat repetitions were very deep, perhaps even deeper than would be required in a powerlifting competition. His first four reps turned out extremely smooth, with his fifth one causing him to struggle a bit. While everyone thought that Kyle would stop there, he decided to push for one more rep. In turn, his sixth rep was slower than the others, but Kyle managed to grind it out, blowing the minds of everyone present.

Kyle Kirvay also performed a 500-pound (226.8-kilogram) raw bench press AMRAP later, continuing his display of power. He ended up locking out six repetitions once again, showing how complete he is, possessing both lower and upper body strength.

Kyle Kirvay started off in bodybuilding, securing the coveted IFBB Pro card in 2018 when he won the Men’s Open and Classic Physique divisions at the NPC Universe Championships. He also took part in the 2020 IFBB Chicago Pro and placed 16th. However, what separates him from the other IFBB Pros is his incredible strength, as he is one of, if not the strongest, bodybuilders in history.

For reference, in one of the most legendary squats ever performed by a bodybuilder, Ronnie Coleman managed to squat 800 pounds (362.9 kilograms) for two reps. On the other hand, Kyle Kirvay locked out six repetitions with the same weight and without the use of knee wraps. On the other hand, when it comes to his bench press and deadlift, Kyle could once again match the efforts of nearly every professional bodybuilder ever.

Seeing that he had so much potential for strength sports, Kyle Kirvay decided to try out powerlifting. It turned out even better than anyone could have expected, as Kyle needed just three sanctioned appearances to break the Raw All-Time Total World Record in the 140-kilogram weight class. He did so by accumulating 1,102.5 kilograms (2,430.6 pounds) across three events at the 2024 PLU American Pro 3.

There is no saying what Kyle Kirvay’s limit might be, as he is still improving at a very rapid pace. It is not often seen that a man can possess such strength but also the endurance to perform as many reps as Kyle can. So, it is clear that his unique approach to training is giving him incredible results and making him one of the greatest bodybuilding and strength athletes in the world.
