The Liver King saga continues. After making bizarre threats to podcast host Joe Rogan, Brian Johnson, well-known as The Liver King, was placed under arrest and booked into the Travis County Correctional Complex in Texas on June 24, 2025.
“Joe Rogan, I’m calling you out. Man to man, I’m picking a fight with you. I am still training in jiu-jitsu; you’re a black belt. You should dismantle me, but I’m picking a fight with you. No rules, whatever you want me to weigh, I’ll weigh it. I weighed 190 this morning. I’ll come to you whenever you’re ready,” shared Liver King.
The Liver King and Joe Rogan have a storied history. While Liver King built his social media empire, he consistently claimed that he never used steroids to achieve his physique. This got the attention of Joe Rogan during an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, where the UFC commentator suggested that Johnson was ‘full of steroids.’
Time would show that Rogan’s instincts were spot-on. In a leaked email from Derek of More Plates More Dates, it was discovered that Johnson used $12,000 worth of performance-enhancers monthly to remain in stellar shape. Though fans called for Rogan to welcome Liver King onto his platform, it never materialized. Instead, Liver King continued to find himself in trouble, facing lawsuits, unexplained injuries, and now this.
Liver King Arrested in Texas After Making Strange Threats to Joe Rogan
According to court records, Liver King was arrested for making a terroristic threat intended to cause fear of imminent harm, which is classified as a Class B misdemeanor in the state of Texas.
This comes after Liver King strangely threatened and called out Rogan for a fight a day before the incident:
“Joe Rogan, we don’t have to make videos and pretend anymore. All of this is happening. We’re coming to you. I’ve challenged you man to man to a fight, honorable,” he shared.
“You can hold the hand of somebody that you love because what happens next to you, you’re going to need to remember that feeling. You’re going to need something more than what you did to give you something to fight for,” he shared.

In a bizarre reel during his shower, Liver King emphasized that he never threatened to kill anyone.
“I’ve not threatened to kill anybody. Did somebody say I was going to kill somebody?” Liver King said during his fourth coffee enema. “We have free WiFi everywhere we’re going in the greatest country in the world, Texas, everywhere we go we’re bringing free WiFi with us, the password is fuck you Joe Rogan.”
“I don’t want to kill you. I hope this all isn’t perceived as a threat.”
After realizing that he’d be going to jail, Liver King attempted to take a small utility pocket knife with him, but his cameraman warned him not to. In a different social media post, Liver King’s wife reacts to his jail booking, unsure if he’ll be locked up for just an hour or 24 hours.
