The multi-talented Mark Wahlberg is receiving praise for his physique after sharing a recent workout update. In an Instagram post, Wahlberg showed off impressive quad definition while performing a set of machine leg extensions. 

Wahlberg has reached international fame for his eclectic ability to produce entertainment. In the 1990s, his popularity in America grew following his contributions to the music group, Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. It didn’t take long for Mark to parlay his musical abilities into an acting career. 

Over the past several years, Wahlberg has cemented his status as a model and actor. He has taken on major roles in film productions like The Departed, The Perfect Storm, Planet of the Apes, and The Italian Job. In addition to his acting credentials, Wahlberg also served as the executive producer of many popular HBO programs, including Entourage and Boardwalk Empire.

Wahlberg has transformed his physique for a number of movie roles. He recently underwent dramatic physical changes while playing the character Stu, in Father Stu. The story centers around a boxer who leaves behind combat sports to pursue a more fulfilling life as a priest. For the role, Wahlberg revealed he gained over 30 pounds and was forced to consume 7,000 calories per day to retain the size. In the meantime, his focus has been geared toward staying fit and healthy.

“You don’t need to fast for 40 days like Jesus,” Wahlberg said. “You just need to do a little bit more every day, and when you’re struggling, ask for help.”

This is far from the first middle-of-the-night workout for Mark Wahlberg. To stay fit at 51 is no easy task, so Wahlberg has maintained a lean physique with a consistent workout routine, which is a healthy habit bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger credits for longevity. Whether it’s two workouts in one day or a holiday, Mark Wahlberg doesn’t miss a training session. 

As of late, the actor switched to a plant-based diet and was happy with the results. He said he began the diet after suffering from gut issues, which led to him trying bone broth fasts. With training and dieting at the forefront of his agenda, longevity has long been a priority for Wahlberg.
