Michal “Krizo” Krizanek is on a mission to go 2-0 this bodybuilding season. On Oct. 24, he pushed through a tough back workout just three days from stepping onstage at the 2025 EVLS Prague Pro.

After battling through a shoulder injury that sidelined him in 2024, Krizo is back with a vengeance. He kicked off the year by taking fifth place at the Pittsburgh Pro and third place at the New York Pro. Then, he returned at the 2025 ESN British Grand Prix, presenting arguably his strongest package to date. He’s become one of the biggest and most imposing talents to shake up the stacked Men’s Open class.

Krizo will head to the Czech Republic soon and has the potential to pull off a huge upset. He’ll face a star-studded lineup, including former Mr. Olympia Samson Dauda, reigning three-time 212 Olympia Keone Pearson, and defending champ Martin Fitzwater

Michal Krizo Hits Intense Back Workout Days from the 2025 Prague Pro

Find his exercise selections from the video below:

  • Lat Pulldown
  • Brute Smith Bent over row
  • Close-Grip Lat Pulldown
  • Chest Supported Row Machine
  • Ab Crunch Machine

Lat Pulldown

To begin the workout, Krizo touched on how he’s approaching his diet ahead of the Prague Pro.

“Today’s a happy day since I am getting 750 grams of carbs. The two meals after the workout are still 60-70-gram portions of carbs. To still deplete a little bit after the workout and then we start filling out. Then, I’ll have three or four meals, 150 grams of carbs each.”

Brute Smith Bent over row

He appreciates this rowing exercise as it’s helped him improve his back thickness.

“Amazing for back thickness,” he shared

Close-Grip Lat Pulldown

Krizo moved on with a close-grip lat pulldown, focusing on strong contractions.

Chest Supported Row Machine

His final back movement for the day was the chest-supported row machine, ensuring his back was fully pumped before his posing session.

“One more set and then abs.”

Ab Crunch Machine

He finished off with a few sets on the ab crunch machine with a full range of motion. He followed that up by sharpening his presentation by practicing mandatory poses after training.

Thanks to his latest victory, Krizo became one of the first athletes to qualify for the 2026 Mr. Olympia. This means he has less pressure heading into the show, which could translate into a much better look when he battles against world-class talent.

The 2025 Prague Pro roster is on par with the Mr. Olympia in terms of star power. It won’t be one to miss and takes place in the Czech Republic on Oct. 26. Fitness Volt will have live coverage of the action.
