The French Phenom, Nabil Lahlou, has continued to impress everyone with yet another humongous raw deadlift of 355 kilograms (782.6 pounds), which marks a new personal record for him. He shared the incredible lift to Instagram on January 18th, proving once again why he is considered to be one of the greatest pound-for-pound deadlifts in the world.

Nabil Lahlou decided to go shirtless for his 355-kilogram (782.6-pound) raw deadlift PR, but put on a lifting belt in order to achieve it. Moreover, he did not use lifting straps at all, making his new PR raw. His technique consisted of a sumo stance and a hook grip.

Nabil Lahlou’s 355-kilogram (782.6-pound) deadlift was filmed from the side rather than from the front, allowing us to see it from an unusual perspective. It also shows multiple technique aspects, such as centering over the bar and maintaining a straight back. Furthermore, it is proof that Nabil fully locked out the huge deadlift.

Nabil Lahlou has set multiple goals for 2024, with his first one being the 800-pound (362.9-kilogram) raw deadlift. He had already lifted that weight beforehand, but did so with the help of lifting straps. So, judging by his new 355-kilogram (782.6-pound) PR, Nabil is extremely close to achieving his goal.

Nabil Lahlou’s second goal is an 800-kilogram (1,763.7-pound) Total. The heaviest weight that he has ever accumulated in a competition is 735 kilograms (1,620.4 pounds). So, he still has to improve in all of his lifts. Luckily, Nabil has already started making progress, as he also landed a 272.5-kilogram (600-pound) raw Squat PR in December 2023.

Moreover, Nabil Lahlou has announced in one of his recent posts that he has plans to compete again very soon. While he has not revealed exactly when, Nabil has confirmed that he will no longer be competing in the 67.5-kilogram weight class. Instead, he has packed on some more bodyweight and is pursuing a career in the 75-kilogram weight class.

Although he is aiming to add more achievements to his resume, Nabil Lahlou is already extremely successful. He has taken part in 20 sanctioned powerlifting competitions since 2020, winning 16 of them and often setting World Records.

Nabil Lahlou had also battled with a hamstring injury near the end of 2023, but has managed to recover from it already. So, now that he is lifting extremely heavy again, Nabil is looking very impressive. It also seems like nothing can stop him in his pursuit of the 800-pound (362.9-kilogram) raw deadlift.
