Blackstone Labs LLC along with its co-founders Aaron Singerman and PJ Braun have pleaded guilty to conspiring to sell illegal anabolic steroids and other unlawful substances marketed as dietary supplements. Singerman has already been sentenced to 4.5 years in jail as part of a plea agreement and PJ Braun has now been sentenced to 4.5 years too.
Both men pleaded guilty to federal charges during their initial court appearances back in Nov. last year. The court postponed the Blackstone Labs case until Feb. 17, 2022. In addition to receiving the charge, the court ordered PJ Braun to pay $3 million and Blackstone Labs to pay $1.2 million in forfeiture.
Typically, cases of this magnitude shutter a business for good, but PJ Braun has promised to keep the company operational and handed the reigns over to his longtime friend, Guy Cisternino. For 22-years, the two have been close friends. Cisternino is a retired IFBB bodybuilder and also sponsored by Blackstone Labs.
Former President PJ Braun Issues Statement on Blackstone Labs LLC Court Case
PJ Braun and Guy Cisternino shared a video on Instagram where the two explain the current situation and the probable future for Blackstone Labs as a supplement company.
“This will be the last presidential address you see from me in a while because early on in my career I sold a couple of products that you guys have been seeing a lot about on the internet. So I wanted to set the record straight. We sold Super-DMZ, which at time was a program we were on, and we sold some SARMS. We believe we were okay selling them, but we weren’t. We should not have done it and I accept responsibility for that, and I will accept my punishment for selling those products years ago.
From 2017 on, we partnered with Jared Wheat of Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals and have put out only the best products. Every single product we have put out is reviewed, third party tested, and even gone over with attorneys to make sure everything we put out is perfect for you guys. I made some mistakes when I was younger, but we corrected them very fast. Did not expect this to happen but it did.
I accept it and going forward I want you guys to know, BlackStone Labs is in a great spot, we never spiked any products, we sold a couple products that we should not have. We have very good products and a very good team. I am leaving, but Guy Cisternino is going to step up and fill my place.” PJ Braun shared.
“Hey guys everything is explained in the video. We all face hiccups along the way, but we have a solid foundation because of how loyal our family is. It is our Legion that makes us stronger than ever. @guycisternino will be here to captain the ship and continue us along this journey.
Lets all remain positive and stay focused! Love you all! Peace out Bye ✌🏼” PJ Braun and Blackstone Labs shared on Instagram before his court sentencing.
Following the statement, Guy confirmed that he will do everything in his power to make sure the business continues to sell the very best supplements on the market.
After Singerman and Braun pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and to selling unapproved new drugs, it looks like the supplement company is about to undergo a dramatic makeover. Given his bodybuilding background, Guy Cisternino is a well-liked individual in the sport, and many are excited (including PJ Braun) to see him assume the new role.
Blackstone Labs co-founders, Aaron Singerman and PJ Braun have been sentenced to 4.5 years behind bars in connection to a plea agreement from last Nov. With Guy Cisternino taking over, Blackstone Labs will continue its operations despite the ongoing legal ramifications.
