With a heavy heart, we report the passing of Figure bodybuilder and fitness influencer Raechelle Chase. According to a report from News.com.au on Friday morning (October 20, 2023), Chase died suddenly from unknown causes. 

Raechelle Chase, a mother of five, boasted more than 1.4 million followers on Facebook with many deeming her an internet star for her inspirational videos. From working out to showing off a feminine yet muscular physique, Chase was a trailblazer for women, especially those who participated in bodybuilding.

Having worked as a fitness model, Chase appeared in popular magazines and fitness publications and even offered her services as a coach online. In an emotional tribute, her eldest daughter paid respects to her loving nature and credited her for inspiring millions of people.

“She was supportive, kind-hearted and always had the best advice for us. She was a wildly driven woman with ambition and has inspired millions of people around the world,” she wrote.

Bodybuilder and Fitness Model Raechelle Chase Dies Suffers Mysterious Death 

While the news rocked the fitness and bodybuilding communities, her cause of death has yet to be determined. An investigation has been launched by authorities in New Zealand to determine exactly how her passing transpired. 

Her close friend, Keith O‘Connell, reacted to the tragic news: 

“Not going to lie, very few things in my life hit me as hard as your passing… You had so much left to live. So much love to give,” he shared earlier this month.

“You were, still are, and always will be one of the kindest beautiful souls I will ever have experienced.”

Chase is the latest bodybuilding figure to meet her untimely fate. Over the past few months, bodybuilders and fitness influencers have turned up dead at a scary rate. From Larissa Borges dying at 33 from a double heart attack to 30-year-old Jo Lindner’s mysterious passing, some in the sport, such as Seth Feroce and Arnold Schwarzenegger have argued that bodybuilding has become the most dangerous sport in the world.

As for her bodybuilding contributions, it’s impossible to ignore Chase’s impact. In addition to earning her IFBB Pro card, the esteemed model picked up third at the Melbourne Pro and New Zealand Pro. She was the first New Zealander to qualify for the prestigious Olympia contest, though she proved herself during a career with a number of impressive performances.
