Although the 2024 Classic Physique Olympia saw many athletes realize success, the contest didn’t go according to plan for Ramon Queiroz. Taking to Instagram on October 14, 2024, he remained optimistic about his fourth-place finish and plans to use the experience as a lesson moving forward.
The 2024 Classic Physique Olympia was one of the biggest attractions of the 60th Joe Weider’s Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend. Ultimately, Chris Bumstead once again got his hand raised, having displayed a career-best package to claim his sixth Classic Physique Olympia title. Despite Queiroz taking runner-up to ‘Cbum’ for the last two years, he appeared to miss the mark, ending the show in fourth place.
Instead, German frontrunners Urs Kalecinski and Mike Sommerfeld found themselves vying for gold. And while Bumstead shut the door on their title aspirations before announcing his retirement, fans are still processing Queiroz’s performance. Clearing the air, the Brazilian star evaluated his latest showing and underlined that he has no plans to give up, especially with the Classic Physique title now vacant.

Despite everything, I know the job was done 100%. It wasn’t the result I expected, but I’m happy and grateful. It was a long preparation, full of learning, which will certainly be useful for the future – there is still more to come!
Thank you to my team, my sponsors and everyone who accompanies me and likes my work. Everything is done with a lot of dedication and care. I didn’t leave Acre for nothing…
I will never give up! 🙏🏼⭕️🦖” Ramon Queiroz shared.
With Chris Bumstead no longer champion, IFBB Pros from Classic Physique have a huge opportunity in front of them. The division hasn’t seen a new titleholder since 2019 so pressure is on athletes to bring unprecedented improvements to next year’s gathering.
Given that Sommerfeld and Kalecinski took spots two and three on the prestigious stage, Queiroz will have his work cut out for him when he takes part in the rematch. ‘Cbum’ intends to raise the Classic Physique Olympia prize money in 2025, which is just another reason why Queiroz will need to bring his best.
Queiroz looks to be competing at the 2024 Musclecontest Pro in Brazil this weekend. Fans look forward to seeing him back on stage soon!
