Bodybuilder Sadik Hadzovic is making significant adjustments to his diet ahead of his next contest. In a recent YouTube video shared on July 31, 2024, Hadzovic broke down his 1,800-calorie full day of eating for a single-digit body fat percentage days from the 2024 Tampa Pro.
“I want to come at Tampa way under the weight cap. So, we actually decreased the calories to 1,800 all day. So, this is what I’m doing to get my body weight in the single-digit fat percentage. Right now, we’re about 206 pounds this morning at about three percent body fat.”
Hadzovic is a veteran of the Men’s Physique class, having pushed former four-time Olympia champion Jeremy Buendia to the brink of defeat on the sport’s greatest stage (2014, 2015). While he never laid claim to Olympia gold, he managed to place runner-up at the marquee show for two years in a row.
After time away from the stage, the Bosnian-born bodybuilder tested his will and skills at the 2024 Chicago Pro. Although he entered the contest as a frontrunner to watch out for, he ultimately missed his peak and was forced to settle for sixth place. Hadzovic called the mishap a ‘catastrophic miscalculation,’ which he plans to correct in the coming days on his quest for redemption at the 2024 Tampa Pro, taking place this weekend (August 2-3).

Meal 1
- Six ounces of grapefruit
- Seven ounces of chicken breast
Hadzovic started his full day of eating with a breakfast consisting of grapefruit and chicken.
“Meal one was pretty freakin boring. We did that at 6 a.m. It was six ounces of grapefruit and seven ounces of chicken breast. Very whack for breakfast.”
Meal 2
- Six ounces of jasmine rice
- Seven ounces of chicken breast
- Salt
Meal two saw Hadzovic enjoy the only rice-based dish on his menu, complemented by chicken breast and salt.
“We’re starting with the best meal. This is the only meal I have with real carbohydrates. I’m going to say grapefruit is not a significant source of carbs. About six ounces of grapefruit is 20 grams of carbs and about six ounces of jasmine rice is about 40 grams of carbs,” said Hadvovic. “I’m going to eat this meal as slow as I can because as the day progresses, I’m only going to have carb sources coming from asparagus.”
Meal 3
- Seven ounces of ground lean beef
- Three ounces of asparagus
Due to traveling obligations, Hadzovic had beef instead of chicken or white fish. His carb source, which was also rich in fiber, was three ounces of asparagus.
“This preparation I’m eating more fish than chicken. Fish has less calories, very high in protein. I’m trying to keep my weight down,” explains Hadzovic. “Beef was pulled out of my diet because it has higher fat content but today it was reintroduced because I’m going to do 15,000 steps traveling to the airport, two cardios, and just some asparagus. So very low carbs, very high protein.”
Meal 4
- Seven ounces of white fish
- Three ounces of asparagus
To speed up his metabolism, Hadzovic’s high protein meal number four was white fish and asparagus.
“Meal number four, which is actually going to speed up my metabolism even more because it’s high protein, high fiber, very little carbs, virtually no carbs, and virtually no fat. Seven ounces of white fish and three ounces of asparagus.
Unfortunately, the last three meals of the evening look like this, pitiful.”
Meal 5
- Three ounces of asparagus
- Seven ounces of chicken breast
He described his fifth helping as a ‘tiny meal,’ which was simply asparagus and chicken breast.
“It’s a tiny meal, something to enjoy here,” said Hadzovic. “No carbs.”
Meal 6
- 40 grams of almond butter
- Seven ounces of white fish
After 22 minutes on the Stairmaster and eight minutes on the stationary bike, Hadzovic refueled with his next meal.
“I could definitely eat this whole jar but I’m only allowed 40 grams of almond butter and seven ounces of white fish, and that’s it. Just a little bit of fats and a little bit of protein.”
Not only would winning the Tampa Pro net him an impressive cash prize, but it would guarantee him a shot on the 2024 Mr. Olympia stage with considerable hype and momentum. Should he earn his qualification to the Las Vegas-based super event, it would be Hadzovic’s first Mr. Olympia contest in seven years, with his last performance coming in 2017 in seventh place.
