Samson Dauda isn’t an ordinary bodybuilder. He’s known for making dramatic improvements from season to season, seemingly with no ceiling, and his physique only continues to get bigger and more conditioned by the day.
His 2024 season was nothing short of legendary. Before making his way to the biggest event of the year, Dauda made a bold move, betting on himself at the Tsunami Pro. While most thought it was a mistake to perform so close to the Olympia, Dauda’s gamble paid off as he dominated the competition.
When it finally came time for him to compete for the Sandow trophy, Samson Dauda’s improvements were impossible to ignore. His massive back, huge arms, and towering structure helped him lay claim to his first Mr. Olympia title against finalists Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford.

In a recent Instagram post, Dauda showcased his remarkable physique, sending warning shots to all competitors standing in his way, including former two-division Mr. Olympia Derek Lunsford.
“7 weeks out @arnoldsports” Dauda shared.
It won’t just be Derek Lunsford that Dauda will need to concern himself with. The Open roster in Columbus, Ohio is stacked, as some compare it to what was on display at the last Olympia. Dauda will have to also overwhelm mass monster Andrew Jacked, former Olympia winner Brandon Curry, and other rising threats such as dark horses Akim Williams, Carlos Thomas Jr., William Bonac, and James Hollingshead.
It’s evident Samson Dauda only continues to improve, especially when looking at his back lat spread and back double biceps pose. Given that his side shots are already dominant, whoever stands against him will have a tough challenge on their hands.
