Sergio Oliva Jr is looking for what would perhaps be the best performance of his career thus far, at the upcoming 2020 Arnold Classic. Ahead of the event, he does some arm training, and looks absolutely massive in the process.

Oliva Jr is looking to separate himself from his father’s namesake, and build his own legacy. In order to do that, he has to get his own marquee performances. He already has begun to do just that, earning second at both the 2018 Tampa Pro, and 2018 Chicago Pro.

Oliva Jr had to take 2019 off from competition, but looks to make up for lost time in 2020. His first stop in doing so, will be when he completes at the 2020 Arnold Classic, on March 7th. He has been showing some serious growth in his updated prior to the competition. However, a video of his training two weeks out from the Arnold takes things to the next level.

In the video, posted to Muscular Development’s YouTube channel, shows Oliva Jr as he completes an insane gym session. The primary focus of the workout is arms, but where the focus of viewers went, was to how massive he looks. 2 weeks out from his first competition in over a year, and he looks to have only improved in that time.

Take a look at the video:

As he explains in the video, Sergio Oliva Jr is in the midst of his weight cut for the Arnold Classic. Nevertheless, he and Chris Cormier get to work, on “getting some guns,” as he puts it.

To start the workout, Oliva Jr does cable curls. As he goes through the sets, he explains to Cormier the struggles of training while depleted.

“I brought a protein shake, with just water. Because it’s been happening where I’ll kill my workout, but I used up everything, all my food and everything. So then even if I’m doing the poses, I just feel like I don’t have it.”

Following this, Oliva moves to barbell curls, using Titan Grips. He explains that he uses the grips because they allow for better rotation while protecting his joints. Doing this for there sets, he then transitions to dumbbell curls. In between his second and third set of really intense curls, he shows off the vascularity in his arms, as the pump begins to really show.

The next exercise that Oliva Jr hits, is machine preacher curls. Throughout the sets, he and Cormier discuss the specifics of what areas of the arms they need to perfect. Finishing up, Sergio decided to go for some cross-body dumbbell curls. After a brief break to talk with Eddie Bracamontes, he finishes those sets, before doing some posing.

It is clear from the start of the video to the end, that Sergio Oliva Jr is preparing hard for the 2020 Arnold Classic. He hit every set as hard as he could and looks absolutely bricked up.
