Shaun Clarida, a two-time 212 Olympia champ, shared a big update in an April 7, 2025, YouTube video on his channel. One month after the 2025 Arnold Classic, he’s tapped IFBB pro John Jewett to help with his training and programming for the 2025 212 Olympia, set for October 9-12 in Las Vegas, NV. Stefan Kienzl still manages his nutrition and supplements.
Post-Arnold recovery
Clarida took a break.
“We are now just one month post 2025 Arnold Classic and lots of changes guys,” he said. “It’s been a very long season you know prepping for nine months three shows it’s very taxing on the body and the mind.”
Science shows long prep drains energy without rest [1].

John Meadows’ impact
Meadows shaped his past.
“I work with John Meadows for seven years of my career and for those seven years he is the one that trained me, put together all my training programs,” he said. “With his passing in 2021 I just wasn’t in the right mind space to work with anyone else.”
He self-coached after, using Meadows’ lessons.
John Jewett steps in
Jewett’s his new coach.
“I decided to take my time and finding the right person someone that in my mind was very reminiscent of John Meadows and I have decided to start working with John Jewett,” he said. “John is an IFBB pro, he runs a J3 University program very knowledgeable.”
Jewett last competed at the 2024 IFBB Vancouver Pro and placed 1st. Prior to that, he scored third place at 2024 IFBB Toronto Pro Supershow.
High-volume shift
Jewett’s plan ramps up volume.
“He has written out a program for me to follow and I am now on week three of that program and honestly guys my body is slowly getting stronger getting bigger,” he said. “Me I’m a high volume trainer in a sense that I’ll come in do six seven different exercises. John Jewett, he is very much an advocate of you know four or five basic movements and a lot more sets.”
Science says more sets boost gains [2].
Split tracking
Jewett tweaks the split.
“He has had me logging all my workouts and I actually like this, because I can go back and see what I did the previous week,” he said. “He and I talk pretty much every other day i send him videos for him to kind of assess and make changes.”
Logging drives progress, per studies [3].
The goal’s set.
“The plan obviously is the 212 Olympia in October um I’m going to be working with John from now all into the show,” he said. “Stefan again still is my coach he still runs my nutrition programs he is very much on board with me working with John Jewett.”
They’re locked in for October 9-12 in Las Vegas, NV.
