Bodybuilder Chinedu Andrew ‘Jacked’ Obiekea left the Lone Star State full of promise having earned his Olympia qualification soundly against his opposition. In a recent YouTube video published on August 13, 2024, IFBB Pro League judge Terrick El Guindy dissected the 2024 Texas Pro results and underlined that Jacked is in the mix to win the nearing Mr. Olympia contest this October.

Many fans believe Andrew Jacked won the 2024 Texas Pro from his hotel room, meaning that he didn’t even need to show up on stage given how dominant he’d look against his adversaries. While many thought that was just chatter before the show, Jacked lived up to those lofty expectations and completely destroyed the lineup at a monstrous 299 pounds.

If you thought a bodybuilder would lack aesthetics at nearly 300 pounds, think again. Jacked presented easily his most well-rounded package to date. And his improvements were on full display. Not only did he bring up his hamstrings, glutes, back, and arms, but he managed to add quality mass without blowing up his waistline.

Terrick El Guindy Believes Andrew Jacked ‘Is In The Mix’ For 2024 Mr. Olympia After Texas Pro Win

His coach, Chris Aceto, believes that with the continued help from his trainer Chris ‘Psycho’ Lewis, Andrew Jacked will win the 2024 Mr. Olympia contest on his third attempt. In the past, the towering Nigerian placed eighth and then moved up to fifth at the 2023 gathering.

But who will Andrew Jacked have to defeat to become the 19th Sandow holder? First, he’ll have to overwhelm the sitting champion Derek Lunsford, which will be no easy feat considering Lunsford has also made noticeable improvements to his physique, mainly adding detail to his arms and abs.

“Andrew Jacked in Texas. He looked impressive, amazing. This guy sent a message to everybody in the industry. I’m bigger! And that was his only flaw. He’s tall, he’s athletic, he’s got beautiful genetics and in the past, we all said he just needs to fill up.”

“And he’s doing that. He’s filling up nicely. The waist is still in and the conditioning was not compromised. Huge credit to coach Psycho Lewis because a lot of times when we hear of you’re 300 pounds, people already assume that you’re not going to be conditioned and they did their homework.”

He gave Jacked’s coaches their credit for bringing him in at his all-time best, emphasizing that his front lat spread and his front double biceps pose are his strongest assets.

“I give them a lot of credit because they came in conditioned and looking nice. From the front, some of his poses are quite powerful. That front lat spread, the front double biceps, he’s a master poser.”

In light of Jacked’s dominant showing in Texas, Terrick El Guindy believes he’s ‘in the mix’ to win the 2024 Mr. Olympia title.

“I think he’s sending a message to Derek Lunsford, Hadi Choopan, and Samson Dauda — we all thought was the only tall aesthetic guy now, you got to put Andrew Jacked there. He’s sending a message to them: I’m going to beat you guys in some poses.”

“That’s bodybuilding. Andrew Jacked is in the mix to win the 2024 Mr. Olympia,” he adds.

Jacked will also have former 2022 Olympia winner Hadi Choopan to deal with, who has been on a winning rampage since dropping his title to Lunsford. Choopan won gold at the recent 2024 Arnold Classic Ohio and UK shows. He’ll also face off against Nick Walker after ‘The Mutant’ was forced to bow out of the Olympia last year after suffering from a hamstring and calf tear.

Samson Dauda will be aiming to become the first British Olympia titleholder since Dorian Yates‘ illustrious reign. Fans expect Dauda and Andrew Jacked to go head-to-head given that they both boast exceptional size and taller structures than Walker, Lunsford, and Choopan.

Jacked has made it clear that he’s not just looking to defeat his rivals, but wants to become the number one bodybuilder in the world. He’s certainly shaken up the roster before even stepping foot on the Olympia stage.

We have only seen Andrew Jacked move up the ranks under the bright lights, leading many to wonder if he actually has what it takes to overthrow the champion in nine short weeks. Don’t miss the 2024 Mr. Olympia; our team at Fitness Volt will have extensive coverage of the event.
