Men’s Open standout Chinedu Andrew Obiekea is proving why he’s acquired the nickname Andrew ‘Jacked.’ In a recent Instagram post, the Nigerian bodybuilder showed off his incredible feat of strength by one-arm rowing the iconic 330-pound dumbbell at Gold’s Gym Venice during his prep for the upcoming 2024 Texas Pro show.

Having hit the ground running since earning his IFBB Pro card in 2021, Andrew Jacked has only continued to impress within the Men’s Open division. Last year, Andrew Jacked made strides, starting with his second consecutive win at the 2023 Texas Pro.

From there, he went toe-to-toe with the category’s best athletes at the Arnold Classic, taking home a respectable third-place finish behind Nick Walker and winner Samson Dauda. He would finish his bodybuilding season strongly with a fifth-place finish at the prestigious Mr. Olympia, moving up three places since his last time on the sport’s biggest stage.

This year, the Nigerian bodybuilder is eager to maintain his reign at the 2024 Texas Pro, where he hopes to secure his third win at this event along with his ticket to the 2024 Mr. Olympia stage. While preparing for his upcoming show, Andrew Jacked is hitting the weights at the renowned Gold’s Gym in Venice Beach.

Andrew Jacked Shows Off Insane Strength By Repping 330-Pound Dumbbell at Gold’s Gym

Gold’s Gym was a haven for golden era bodybuilding legends such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Franco Columbu, and Frank Zane. Now, the rising Men’s Open star Andrew Jacked, alongside William Bonac, proves he’s got what it takes to stand among the best while one-arm rowing the iconic 330-pound dumbbell.

“Just had to show @william_bonac that I still got it and still hold the record Facts after his tiny challenge while I’m in prep mode😅😅😅.
Great show here at @euromuscleshow .”

“Yesszziirrr !!!”

“150kg 18k Gold Dumbbell going for reps @gym80international racking back the dumbbell is much harder than unracking it🥵😅” Andrew Jacked wrote.

The 2024 bodybuilding season has been relatively quiet for the Men’s Open athlete since pulling out of the US and UK Arnold Classics earlier this year. While he didn’t mention specifics on what was preventing him from competing, Andrew Jacked made it clear that he wanted to bring nothing but his best to the stage when he did choose to compete.

“I’m pulling out from both Arnold’s. I’m having so many things happening at same time from different factors and all needs my attention which makes it difficult to concentrate for this prep.

I don’t want to go there anything short of 100%. I just don’t want to make up the numbers nor get placings if not for the Win.” Andrew Jacked wrote.

Even though Andrew Jacked hasn’t been on the competitive stage since last year, he certainly hasn’t lightened up on his training. Just recently, the Nigerian bodybuilder shared his favorite exercises for building a wider back. His workout consisted of seven grueling movements.

With less than a month until he takes to the 2024 Texas Pro stage, fans can look forward to seeing him compete for the first time this year. If he wins on August 9-10, Andrew Jacked will earn his qualification for the 2024 Mr. Olympia set for October 10-13 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
