The 2024 CrossFit Games took place from August 8-11 in Fort Worth, Texas. It gathered dozens of elite CrossFit athletes to put them through a number of excruciating events in hopes of crowning the Fittest On Earth. Well, there wasn’t much debate among the women, as Tia-Clair Toomey dominated her way to the title.

It is very easy to build a case around why Tia-Clair Toomey is the greatest Individual athlete in the entire history of CrossFit. This is especially the case following her win at the 2024 CrossFit Games, silencing everyone who doubted her.

Tia-Clair Toomey previously had six CrossFit Games titles, which she won from 2017 until 2022 consecutively. However, she got pregnant and had to miss out on the 2023 CrossFit season. In turn, many people thought that she would never get back to her best, but that clearly wasn’t the case. On the contrary, Tia-Clair Toomey became the first Individual athlete in the history of CrossFit Games to manage to reclaim the title after losing it the year prior.

Tia-Clair Toomey won six events throughout the 2024 CrossFit Games. However, even in those events that she didn’t win, Tia-Clair managed to finish in the top ten. So, due to such consistent performances, she ultimately managed to beat her closest rival by a substantial margin.

Although everyone was excited to watch the battle between Tia-Clair Toomey and last year’s CrossFit Games champion, Laura Horvath. However, following the tragic death of Lazar Đukić on day one of the competition, Laura decided to withdraw. However, even if Horvath was competing, Tia-Clair would have likely still won the competition.

With her seventh CrossFit Games title secured, Tia-Clair Toomey once again broke the record for the winningest CrossFit athlete. For reference, Mat Fraser has won five titles in the men’s division. Next up is the legendary Rich Froning, who has four Individual titles to his name. As for the women’s division specifically, Annie Thorisdottir and Katrín Davíðsdóttir are closest to Tia-Clair with two Individual wins each.

Apart from the CrossFit Games, Tia-Clair Toomey has won three Rogue Invitational competitions. She has also won numerous qualifying stage competitions, including the CrossFit Open, Quarterfinals, and Semifinals.
