2022 African Junior Weightlifting Championships
The 2022 African Junior Weightlifting Championships began on 1 September 2022, with 54 lifters in 19 classes. The 2022 African Youth Championships were decided within this competition. The lifts counted for both, with places ranked within each field. Gold went to Davis Niyoyita (55 kg, 210 kg), Oussama Lemhaji (61 kg, 179 kg), Mohamed Sameer Masoud (67 kg, 247 kg), Mohammed Alzintani (73 kg, 255 kg), Mohamed Amine Akermoum (81 kg, 275 kg), Daniel Onana Tanga (89 kg, 295 kg), Said Alioua (96 kg, 315 kg), Muneeb Alazeebi (102 kg, 240 kg), Khelwin Juboo (109 kg, 307 kg) and Bilal Bouamr (+109 kg, 327 kg) for the men, and Fatna Akil (45 kg, 107 kg), Hadir Wael Imbabi Ahmed (49 kg, 149 kg), Ikram Abdenouri (55 kg, 130 kg), Hanin Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed Elsayed (59 kg, 174 kg), Aya Amerane (64 kg, 164 kg), Roufida Fathi Taha Abdeltawwab (71 kg, 212 kg), Rahma Ahmed Abdelrazek Hassan Elsayed (76 kg, 215 kg), Fatma Mohamed Sadek Ahmed (81 kg, 224 kg) and Shams Mohamed Ahmed Abdelazim (87 kg, 213 kg) for the women.
