2022 South American Junior Weightlifting Championships
The 2022 South American Junior Weightlifting Championships began on 19 October 2022, with 115 lifters in 20 classes. The 2022 South American Youth Championships were decided within this competition, which was itself decided within the 2022 Pan-American Junior Championships. The lifts counted for all three, with places ranked within each field. Gold went to Daniel Alejandro Arrieta Quejada (55 kg, 237 kg), Benjamin Jose Zurita Vallejo (61 kg, 248 kg), Sebastian Olivares (67 kg, 282 kg), Sergio Cares (73 kg, 296 kg), Richard Ollo (81 kg, 316 kg), Andres Felipe Santiesteban Rivas (89 kg, 321 kg), Amel Atencia (96 kg, 334 kg), Sergio Alexander Munoz Rios (102 kg, 348 kg), Daniel Diaz (109 kg, 320 kg) and James Gallego (+109 kg, 333 kg) for the men, and Mariangeli Irene Martinez Rosales (45 kg, 142 kg), Kerlys Montilla (49 kg, 164 kg), Maria Alejandra Perlaza Villa (55 kg, 174 kg), Karen Tatiana Mosquera Caceres (59 kg, 201 kg), Ingrid Segura (64 kg, 209 kg), Erika Sinisterra Torres (71 kg, 219 kg), Bella Paredes (76 kg, 224 kg), Kelin Jiménez (81 kg, 235 kg), Zoreannys Henriquez (87 kg, 205 kg) and Taiane Justino (+87 kg, 242 kg) for the women.
