The 2022 Arnold Classic Bikini International is here and athletes were determined to stand out at one of the biggest shows of the year. Lauralie Chapados ended up securing first place and defeated Maureen Blanquisco in a close contest.

Prejudging for Bikini International happened Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with finals wrapping up from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

While 2021 Bikini Olympia champ Jennifer Dorie didn’t compete at the Arnold Classic this year (2021), the lineup is still incredibly strong as Elisa Pecini, Ashley Kaltwasser, and Arnold Sports Festival UK winner Phoebe Hagan battled for gold.

Elisa Pecini had an impressive 2021 season. She won the 2021 Tampa Pro and placed second at the 2021 Arnold Classic last year.

Ashley Kaltwasser also garnered a lot of hype before the big show.  In 2020, Ashley won the IFBB World Klash Pro, IFBB Pacific USA Pro, and won first place at the IFBB 2020 Battle in the Desert. After competing in 14 NPC shows in 2021, fans have been anticipating her performance at the 2022 Arnold Classic for some time. Given her tenacity and willingness to compete, she remains one of the fiercest athletes in the Bikini Invitational lineup.

The event also saw the return of Phoebe Hagan. Phoebe had a commanding season in bodybuilding with a 2021 UK Arnold Classic victory as well as claiming gold at the 2021 Legion Sportsfest Pro. Despite showing incredible stage presence, Lauralie Chapados ran away with the win at the 2021 Arnold Classic Bikini International show.

With Jennifer Dorie preparing for Olympia in Dec., Lauralie Chapados impressed the judges and took home first place. The contest was razor-close with Marueen Blanquisco placing in second. Many pegged Ashley Kaltwasser as the biggest threat on stage to take the Arnold Bikini International title, but ultimately, she placed in third.
