The 2023 Olympia, a highlight of Joe Weider’s Olympia Fitness and Performance Weekend, will showcase 11 dynamic bodybuilding divisions competing for top honors, including the highly acclaimed Classic Physique division. The Classic Physique prejudging event commenced on Saturday, November 4, 2023, starting at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time.
Since taking the Classic Physique Olympia crown from Breon Ansley in 2019, Chris Bumstead has been an unstoppable force in the category. His dry conditioning, tall stature, and muscular detail have turned him into one of the most dominant champions of the current era.
The lineup was stacked with talent. Aside from ‘Cbum,’ Germany’s Urs Kalecinski, 2023 Arnold Classic winner Ramon Rocha Queiroz, and former two-time AC titleholder Terrence Ruffin all brought eye-catching looks to the table during the prejudging rounds. However, Chris Bumstead continues to raise the bar in the Classic Physique category.
The last call-out saw Chris Bumstead and Ramon Queiroz battle through several poses. Perhaps the most electrifying moment of the event happened when Bumstead and Dino hit back double biceps and found each clashing elbows.
Bumstead’s quad definition, side density, and arms all looked to have been brought up over the last season. However, Queiroz’s midsection and tight waist gave the champ a run for his money. With the finals taking place tonight, fans are excited to see who can push the dominant champ.
