The year 2022 is slowly coming to an end and the most major CrossFit competitions are concluding with it. However, fans should be pleased to know that the 2023 will begin with one of the greatest contests, as the 2023 Wodapalooza is scheduled to take place from January 12-15, in Miami, Florida.

The Wodapalooza has earned a reputation of being one of the most interesting CrossFit competitions for the past few years. The event is always wonderfully organized and appears as a festival of sports celebrations. After gaining popularity in recent years, the organizers of 202 Wodapalooza are able to provide a suitable prize purse to recognize all the efforts made by the participants. It has now been revealed that the prize purse for this competition will come out to $500,000 across all divisions.

2023 Wodapalooza Prize Purse Breakdown

The prize purse for the 2023 Wodapalooza is still as huge as ever. However, the winners of the Individual division will only get $75,000 compared to last year’s $100,000. Other divisions will then receive that difference, which will result in them earning more money this year than last year.

Elite Individuals

  • 1st — $75,000
  • 2nd — $35,000
  • 3rd — $25,000
  • 4th — $10,000
  • 5th — $8,000
  • 6th — $5,000
  • 7th — $4,000
  • 8th — $3,000
  • 9th — $2,000
  • 10th — $1,000

Elite Teams

  • 1st — $30,000
  • 2nd — $15,000
  • 3rd — $10,000
  • 4th — $7,500
  • 5th — $3,500

Masters Divisions

  • 1st — $2,000

Adaptive RX

  • 1st — $2,000

It is currently not clear who the competitors at the 2023 Wodapalooza will be, since the qualification process is not concluded yet. However, the roster will definitely consist of many incredible CrossFit names. For example, Patrick Vellner has won the last three editions of this competition. So, he will want to claim his fourth and record-breaking Wodapalooza title in 2023. However, seeing that the prize purse is very lucrative, Vellner could face a bigger challenge than ever before.

Emma McQuaid is the reigning women’s champion after she nearly edged out Bethany Shadburne at the 2022 Wodapalooza. The Boys and Team Kriger won their respective men’s and women’s Team divisions of the 2022 Wodapalooza.

The 2023 Wodapalooza will be the 11th edition of this competition and with the brand new sponsorship from TYR, which will last until 2025, the organization can be better than ever. The winners of the individual divisions will receive $75,000 which is definitely enough for them to gain some motivation. Hopefully, this will result in an extremely entertaining show for the festival attendees as well as the viewers.
