The 2025 Arnold Classic finals for Classic Physique took place on February 28 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio. In the end, Mike Sommerfeld secured the hard-fought victory against Logan Franklin, setting himself up for a massive year in the sport.
Throughout prejudging and the finals, judges took notice of the dry conditioning of Logan Franklin. His stature and his detail from the rear, specifically his hamstring and glutes, were noticeable. This allowed him to hold his own against the lineup when it came time for poses like the back double biceps and rear lat spread.
However, Mike Sommerfeld also brought improvements to the stage. He continues to chase greatness after pushing Bumstead in his last outing. After many heated comparisons and one final pose off to seal the deal, Mike Sommerfeld claimed gold, leaving the crowd on their feet.
2025 Arnold Classic Physique Results
Logan Franklin entered this event with some mystery because he wasn’t at the Arnold Classic last year. In his last outing, he finished outside the first callout at the 2024 Olympia in 13th place. With all the genetics and potential to bring a dominant package, he managed to do so at the 2025 Arnold Classic. In addition, his leg separation appeared to be on another level tonight.
Mike Sommerfeld, who was fresh off a runner-up showing against Bumstead, immediately caught the judges’ attention. He also didn’t compete at last year’s Arnold. His fullness was on full display in this appearance, and his condition only improved as the finals went along. When the scorecards were announced, Mike Sommerfeld picked up the win, Logan Frankin earned silver, and Matt Greggo took bronze.
