The 2025 Joe Weider’s Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend has taken over Las Vegas, NV from Oct 9–12. Classic Physique competitors battled through intense prejudging rounds on Oct. 11 at 9:30 a.m. PDT at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
In 2024, Chris Bumstead captured his sixth consecutive Classic Physique Olympia title, but not without a fight. Mike Sommerfeld stole two poses from ‘Cbum’ before he announced his retirement from the sport.
Since then, Sommerfeld’s become the de facto number one contender—and proved as much with a big win at the 2025 Arnold Classic. Even with Bumstead’s absence, the lineup is stacked, featuring favorites Ramon Queiroz with the country of Brazil behind him, along with surging threats Terrence Ruffin and Logan Franklin.
During prejudging, Mike Sommerfeld‘s posing and fullness were strong points, which helped him stay in contention. However, Ramon Queiroz’s stature paired with dry conditioning turned this into one of the closest final callouts of the entire weekend. In addition, Terrence Ruffin had a breakthrough performance, making the title totally up for grabs this evening!
