In a recent Instagram post, Ugolnikov revealed that his Umbilical hernia surgery was a success, and underlined his plans to start training as soon as possible.
Good Vito quickly emerged on the Men’s Open radar thanks to his massive legs and arms. He switched from the IFBB Elite Pro League to the NPC, a similar route that has been taken by Michal Krizanek, Andrew Jacked, and Rubiel “Neckzilla” Mosquera. Then, Ugolnikov earned his IFBB Pro card dominantly at the 2022 Musclecontest International Brazil Nationals.
All signs pointed to Ugolnikov’s Pro debut at the 2023 Europa Pro Championships, but he was unable to compete. He suffered a knee injury weeks before the event guest posing at the 2023 Musclecontest International Brazil. Following Good Vito’s guest posing appearance in July, former Mr. Olympia Samir Bannout gave his thoughts on the bodybuilder’s future. Overall, Bannout was unimpressed with Vito’s posing abilities and specified that he didn’t hold the poses long enough for fans in attendance. Moreover, he called Good Vito’s hernia ‘disgusting’ and mentioned that he was upset due to the potential Good Vito has in the sport.
Considering the mass and taper of Ugolnikov’s physique, fans couldn’t be more excited to see him test his mettle against the best of the Men’s Open. Bodybuilding veteran Chris Cormier has taken notice of Good Vito’s efforts, highlighting his raw talent, emphasizing his potential, and pointing out his muscularity and youth.
Due to his shocking muscularity and massive quads, some fans have suggested that Good Vito doctored photos online. Firing back, Ugolnikov silenced the doubters by posting a video physique update, where he hit a few bodybuilding poses.
