Bikini bodybuilding star Lauralie Chapados has ambitious plans for this season. In a recent interview on the NPC News Online YouTube channel, Chapados discussed her physique feedback, goals, and how her training dynamics have changed for the 2024 Arnold Classic, taking place from February 29 to March 3.
Having tested the waters for over seven years as a Bikini talent, Lauralie Chapdos’ career has been defined by crafty hard work and discipline. She holds two Arnold Classic Bikini International titles, which she achieved in 2022 and 2023 with unforgettable looks, complimented by her taper, thin waist, and balanced aesthetics.
When it was time to step on stage for the last Olympia competition, Chapados battled against three of the best Bikini talents in the world: former champions Ashley Kaltwasser, Maureen Blansquisco, and the newly instated two-time titleholder Jennifer Dorie.

The Bikini category is notoriously competitive, and the smallest advantages can lead to an upset. With the 2024 Arnold Classic approaching, Chapados not only talked about changes to her prep but opened up on how she plans to secure her first Olympia victory in October.

Chapados intends to use the feedback she gathered from her latest Olympia performance to adjust her physique for the future.
“It feels good. I know, it’s going to come very very fast. We just had a good time with seeing Tyler getting the feedback that we want. Kim, my coach is here with me and obviously, we are doing it again so I’m excited.”
“That’s the goal [to win Olympia]. We definitely have a very clear vision on how we want to achieve this year. Everything is all mapped out and it’s going to be a good time. Really did [get great feedback on posing]. The Olympia was what… barely 10 weeks ago which is insane but as soon as we stepped out of the stage we knew where we were going. We had the feedback, we executed. I have the best team around me.”“Now we have four more weeks of tuning exactly where we want to be,” adds Chapados.
“I want to say everything [has changed]. I’ve been on black coffee for a while now. Shout out to my coach he cut my almond milk so my Starbucks coffee is really sad. But everything and everything it’s just, Jim, that’s the beauty of bodybuilding. Everything is changing.”
“You go one prep, you get your feedback and you just it’s one in the books and then you look forward. I don’t care if I won the show I lost the show, I don’t go back at the Arnold as the you know the winner, I just go back from my last showing which was the Olympia and I’m always trying to be better and reaching a stage look that the judges want.”
“Once you’re a winner and you go back and lose your title, that’s why I don’t want to lose my title this year for sure at the Arnold. Going back and gaining it, it’s an achievement in and of itself. It takes balls.”
“Obviously, you guys know, we’re trying to bring the legs down so we’ve been changing a lot of my training into more of plyometrics, more movement, more output, less of bodybuilding. You know I love to train hard. I love to train like a bodybuilder. I love this thing. I love to push myself out of my limits everyday and sometimes it’s just to adjust your craft and where you’re at.”
“Your growth — I’ve been in this for almost 10 years now and I’m tapping into my maturity. I can’t do the same training I used to do seven years ago to try and get into the place that I am right now.”“In order to fit the Bikini category and staying where I’m at right now, I need to adjust,” said Lauralie Chapados. “There’s been changes to our workouts for sure. At the end of the day, it’s always how to be the best for the Bikini category and that’s what I’m striving for. If I need to do yoga, mountain climbing in order to be the best at Bikini, I would do that.”
“Absolutely, [they pick the best competitor on that day], absolutely, I think it was really tight at the Olympia. All the top three of the girls were looking phenomenal but Jen brought it. It’s incredible because she lost it, she gained it back, that’s how Bikini is. You just, who knows.”
