Fans of the sport are ready to welcome all competitors to the 2024 Arnold Classic, taking place from February 29 to March 3. With the event approaching, Dennis Wolf and Jose Raymond predicted who would win the event in the Men’s Open and Classic Physique divisions.
Since the athletes list was released, the community has gotten behind the 2024 Arnold Classic, which is set to showcase some of the sport’s most popular competitors. Hadi Choopan will aim to secure the Arnold Classic title this weekend and this show will serve as his first in the US outside the Olympia. As a former 2022 Mr. Olympia champion, Choopan enters this contest extra motivated after dropping his title to Derek Lunsford months ago.
Meanwhile, surging Men’s Open threat Samson Dauda will return as the reigning Arnold Classic champion. He has gone all-in on back improvements for this season, attempting to turn his weakness into a strength. And in the Classic Physique category, fans expect Urs Kalecinski and Ramon Rocha Queiroz to wage war in Columbus, Ohio.

Dennis Wolf’s Winner: Samson Dauda
According to Dennis Wolf, Samson Dauda could be the next ‘big, big, big thing’ and believes he will exit Ohio with the win.
“I think finally he’s bringing that condition what I was looking forward to seeing. I’m always criticizing a couple of athletes because I had it with Milos too on the podcast with Jay, Cutler Cast. So, it’s only the condition, everything else is just growing, growing, and growing, so he is improving every time I see him posting some updates.”
Specifically, Wolf credited Dauda for improvements to his chest and glutes.
“This year, I think he’s finally nailing this. The chest was never striated like this, glutes also back, hey man, I’m happy to see that and yeah, I think he could be the next big big big thing. Yeah man, it’s going to be tough for Hadi.”

Jose Raymond’s Winner: Samson Dauda
Jose Raymond has also noticed significant improvements from Dauda since his last Mr. Olympia in 2023.
“Like Dennis mentioned, you can see details that I’ve never seen on him, even the quad striations, the pec stritations, the glutes, the separation in the glutes and the hamstrings from the side,” adds Jose Raymond. “Even his abs are deeper than I’ve ever seen. What is special about this guy is even though he’s harder, he looks bigger. He looks bigger than he’s ever looked now. This is the look we’ve all been waiting for.”
While he believes the show will be close, Raymond backed Dauda to come out on top.
“I like Hadi but I think Samson is going to win,” said Jose Raymond. “I think if it’s close it’s going to go to Samson. He’s the bigger guy. They are the two most muscular guys in the show. Probably the two most muscular with condition. Sure, but he has a taller prettier look. He could win I think he’s going to.”
Dennis Wolf and Jose Raymond aren’t the only bodybuilding veterans offering their picks ahead of the big show. Recently, former four-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler gave his predictions for the event, and he envisions ‘The Persian Wolf’ getting his hand raised. In addition, Dennis James and Chris Cormier also see Choopan winning.
