Bodybuilder Hunter Labrada is back with another hardcore training session. In a recent YouTube video, Labrada walked fans through his intense pull-day back workout which premiered on March 5, 2024.
“Unfortunately, I’m not Ronnie Coleman or Dorian Yates, so I have to do other things to make my back grow,” says Labrada.
Hunter Labrada is the son of IFBB Pro League Hall of Famer Lee Labrada, whose status and reputation in the sport have solidified him as an all-time great. While the demands of a bodybuilder have changed since Lee’s time on stage, Hunter brings the same level of intensity to each of his training sessions and has already found success.
Having finished as high as fourth place on the prestigious Mr. Olympia stage, Labrada has transformed before the eyes of fans and continues to improve with each passing season. Last year, he laid claim to a dominant victory at the 2023 Tampa Pro. This triumph secured him a qualification for the 2023 Olympia competition. He also notched an impressive second-place performance at the Texas Pro behind champion Andrew Jacked.

When it was time to battle against the best for a shot at the Sandow trophy, Labrada shined on stage but found himself in sixth place. Undeterred, Labrada plans to use the performance as momentum for his next competition, which has yet to be revealed. To prepare his body for the stage once again, Labrada invited fans to watch him sculpt a bigger back.
Bodybuilder Hunter Labrada Shares Brutal Pull Day Back Workout
Check out Labrada’s workout below:
- Single-Arm Cable Pullover — 2 sets
- Barbell Row — 3 sets
- Unilateral Lat Pulldown Machine — 3 sets
- Chest-Supported T-Bar Row — 1 set
- Lat Pulldown — 1 set
- Reverse Flye Machine — 3 sets
Even though Labrada didn’t go to failure with his latest workout, he emphasized that his goal was to get as much blood pumping into the lats as possible.
“Yes we’re trying to put blood into our lats but we’re not getting failure output from this. Getting your scapula moving and everything is opening up and we’re putting some blood in there.
The rest of the workout will be about beating the fu** out of your lower lats.”
Hunter Labrada enjoyed the rigorous pace of the workout and mentioned that this was the first time he had performed bent-over rows in two or three years.
“Today was pretty awesome. Jourdan and I our training sessions schedules lined up so his back and my back day had a baby today and it was awesome.
So, awesome session. Haven’t done bent-over rows in like two or three years so that was really fun to do and a really great pace with three and bigger compounds and the t-bar and the bent over rows.”
Despite his time away from the stage, Hunter Labrada has kept fans entertained with helpful videos on nutrition. As of late, he joined his father Lee to discuss ideal food options before a workout. Most importantly, both bodybuilders urged those listening to prepare meals centered around the protein source. He also shared his recipe for ‘meathead stir fry’ which he credits as a go-to meal for muscle-building.
Fans look forward to Hunter Labrada’s next bodybuilding contest, and judging by his latest training session, he intends to bring an even better physique than last year. With the 2024 season underway, Hunter Labrada will be tasked with earning a qualification for Olympia by September 15 if he wishes to compete on the sport’s greatest stage.
“All in all, an awesome session,” said Labrada.
