There’s no time to waste as athletes ready their physiques for the 2024 Mr. Olympia, taking place October 11-12 next weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada. In a recent YouTube video shared on October 3, 2024, Hadi Choopan smashed a heavy FST-7 leg workout while in prep to win back his title.
Hadi Choopan was the 2022 Mr. Olympia winner, which was an absolutely stacked contest that saw him defeat not only Mamdouh ‘Big Ramy’ Elssbiay but also Derek Lunsford and Nick Walker. His top-tier conditioning, fullness, and small waist paved the way for his success. However, a year later, when he rematched his teammate, Lunsford, he was unable to prevail, mostly due to the former 212 Olympia’s powerful rear poses like the back lat spread and back double biceps.
Instead of resting his physique, Choopan got back to his winning ways. He won the 2024 Arnold Classic against Samson Dauda with a career-best look, setting the tone for the rest of the season. He followed up the triumph with another victory at the 2024 Arnold Classic UK show, once again besting Dauda soundly. With momentum on his side, Choopan plans to win back the sport’s most prestigious title on the horizon.

Choopan warms up with 5-10 minutes on the stationary bike to get the blood flowing.
“We’re going to start off with extensions, Hadi is warming up usually about 5-10 minutes on the bike.”
He moves into unilateral leg extensions, taxing his quads before attempting his first squatting movement. In between sets of Smith machine squats, Rambod admits that this is one of Choopan’s heavier workouts of the week.
“We’re doing Smith machine squats, this is going to be one of our heavier days getting ready for the show. Normally, your peak strength is for most athletes around four or five weeks but we’re trying to keep as much of that momentum of that four or five week-strength curve closer to the show.”
‘The Persian Wolf’ goes after the leg press machine next with five plates attached to each side, aiming for volume. Rambod offered the audience some form cues throughout his workout.
“We are doing leg press a little bit more on the narrow stance just inside shoulder width keeping the toes straight pumping out reps, we’re really trying to rep out. We were trying to shoot for 20 he got closer to 30 reps which is great. All about the blood flow, get those legs nice and 3D so they pop on stage,” Rambod shared.
Choopan finishes the workout by pushing through heavy sets on the super squat machine.
Choopan will face a daunting lineup of threats if he hopes to leave Sin City with the 60th anniversary golden Sandow trophy. Aside from Dauda, who he’s familiar with competing against, the Iranian native will have to get through Lunsford, Walker, and other top-notch threats like 2024 Texas Pro winner Andrew Jacked. Choopan’s hardness and ability to get peeled will no doubt play into his favor on stage next weekend.
Despite his prep coming to a close soon, it appears Hadi Choopan’s strength hasn’t left him. Don’t miss his attempt to earn back the Mr. Olympia title when the show returns for the most important weekend in bodybuilding. Fitness Volt will have live coverage!
