Reigning Mr. Olympia Samson Dauda is locking in his nutrition ahead of his next bodybuilding competition. In a recent YouTube video on November 28, 2024, he walked fans through his full day of eating in preparation for the 2025 Arnold Classic.
“We are officially 13 and a half weeks away from the Arnold Classic. We’re already in prep. The food portioning is already getting smaller and I’m noticing I’m getting hungrier already. I feel like the Mr. Olympia was just yesterday and we’re back into the Arnold prep already.”
Samson Dauda‘s rise in the IFBB Pro League has taken place right in front of fans’ eyes. Some were unsure if he would ever match or overcome the conditioning levels of Hadi Choopan given that Dauda trailed behind him in second place at the 2024 Arnold Classic Ohio and UK competitions. However, with the help of his wife and trainer Marlena, he accomplished the improbable on the sport’s greatest stage.
At the 2024 Mr. Olympia contest, he shocked the world, showcasing a perfect blend of symmetry, mass, and definition to earn first place, ahead of finalists Derek Lunsford and Choopan. As the reigning Mr. Olympia, Dauda intends to dominate at the upcoming Arnold Classic and if he’s successful, will have earned over $1 million in prize money within six months.

Bodybuilder Samson Dauda Shows Off Full Day of Eating 13.5 Weeks from 2025 Arnold Classic
Find his meals below:
Meal 1
- 5 eggs
- ISO H1 Protein Shake
Dauda kept it basic for breakfast, which was only five eggs and a protein shake.
“All our meals from the day are always full whole meals. And I mean home-cooked food. You won’t see much coming out of packets or coming out of a can or coming out of a tub or anything like that. Other than my ISO H1 I put in my shake in the morning and post-workout, that’s it. The rest of it is full-on food, home-cooked food.”
He emphasized that his career and accomplishments have been built on eating whole-food home-cooked meals.
“If you want to make progress, you got to have that, you’ve got to have more whole foods. That’s one of the things that works very well for us and the reason why we’re able to put quality muscle on, because we eat that way.”
Meal 2
- 350 grams Sweet potatoes
- 200 grams Steak
Dauda said ‘preparation is the key to success,’ and shared another meal with the carb source being sweet potatoes and steak for protein.
“I’m taking two meals with me because I’m not sure how much the length of time we’re going to be out is. I can roughly guess but just in case we get any delays. I’ll have one of the meals with me just in case. Preparation is key to success.”
Meal 3
- 300 grams Pasta
- 180 grams of Lean Ground Beef
While on the go, Dauda enjoys pasta and ground beef for his third meal prepared by his wife, Marlena Dauda. This helping served as his pre-workout meal before leg training.
Meal 4
- 250 grams of chicken
- 1 Cup and a half of white rice
Sticking to clean ingredients, Dauda consumed white rice and chicken for his next meal.
“I’m about to knock that down there real quick. I’m starving already. I’m hungry. I’m going to have that. Last two meals of the day, this is one, one more after this and then heading to bed. I’m going to get that in, I’m hungry.”
Meal 5
- 250 grams of chicken
- 1 cup and a half of white rice
His final helping was a replication of his fourth meal. He specified that portions are beginning to decrease as the Arnold Classic draws closer.
“I’ll have that before I head up to sleep. That’s our last meal of the day at this point,” says Dauda. “That is pretty much all our meals for the day as it is. That is it for us. We’ll get this in and head back in and watch some TV now, head to bed.”
“Obviously, we’re changing the sizes as we get closer and closer to the show,” he adds.
Although the official lineup for the 2025 Arnold Classic hasn’t been publicly announced, we know that 2024 Mr. Olympia fifth-place finisher Andrew Jacked will be in attendance. He managed to acquire significant muscle mass and size as of late, exciting fans about their potential clash in Columbus, Ohio. In addition, Nathan De Asha, who has struggled with visa issues, has solved that problem and will also compete at the Arnold Classic.
There’s no denying that Dauda is keeping his diet clean ahead of his next contest. With an impressive $500,000 reserved for the winner at the Arnold Classic, Dauda has the opportunity to earn another hefty payday on the horizon.
