Bodybuilder Sadik Hadzovic will return to the Classic Physique division in 2026. On Jan. 29, 2026, he confirmed his comeback plan and set his sights on a contest in July or August.
Sadik Hadzovic is a top-tier Men’s Physique competitor. He gave former four-time Men’s Physique Olympia Jeremy Buendia a run for his money during his four-year reign. In his last pair of outings, Hadzovic secured sixth place at the 2024 Chicago Pro but rebounded with a solid fifth-place showing at the Tampa Pro.
This wouldn’t be his first time testing the waters in Classic Physique. Hadzovic actually competed at the Classic Physique Olympia in 2016, where he pushed Arash Rahbar and champion Danny Hester en route to third place. At that same contest, Hadzovic managed to defeat Breon Ansley, who later went on to become a two-time Classic Physique Olympia winner.
His aesthetics and tight waist have remained his most potent weapons onstage. These qualities should carry over nicely into Classic Physique. At the recent 2025 Mr. Olympia, the sport saw a new champ emerge. After a tense showdown with favorite Mike Sommerfeld, Ramon Rocha Queiroz nailed his peak to become the newly crowned champ. Looking ahead, if Hadzovic finds success, we could see them square off later this year.
Sadik Hadzovic Speaks On His Return to Classic Physique, Eyes Next Contest in July or August
In the YouTube video, Hadzovic laid out his comeback plan for Classic Physique after eight years. He wants to compete in a show in July or August.
“I feel good, man. I want to do Pittsburgh Pro, but it’s too soon. I like the Pittsburgh Pro. I got to do something July-August. I have no idea what shows are around these days in Classic. I haven’t competed in Classic in eight years,” Sadik Hadzovic said.
Hadzovic has dealt with health setbacks lately, which prevented him from competing during the 2025 bodybuilding season. He was hospitalized after struggling to breathe and complaining of chest pain. He admitted that he almost died, and while he was cleared of blood clots, he or doctors couldn’t determine what caused the health scare.
He’s also been open about the dark side of performance-enhancing drug use. According to Hadzovic, he often became hyper-aggressive or happy from using steroids. To add quality muscle, he warned that drugs alone won’t get the job done; intense training is still required.
“Granted, it’s a tool but it’s not this extraordinary tool that’s going to put on 30 pounds of muscle tissue without you training hard. If you don’t have the discipline to get in shape without it, you’re definitely not going to be in shape with it.”
Hadzovic is ready to make a statement in Classic Physique once again. He has the next few months to refine his physique for the stage, leaving fans excited about his next contest.
