Nick Walker isn’t short on confidence heading into his fourth Mr. Olympia contest. In an August 5 YouTube video, he predicted he’d win the 2026 Mr. Olympia even if every competitor brings their absolute best physique.
Walker pushed through a turbulent 2025 bodybuilding season. He secured second place at the Pittsburgh Pro against Derek Lunsford. To earn his way back to the Olympia, he claimed gold at the New York Pro for a third time. When he made his way to the ‘Super Bowl of Bodybuilding,’ Walker mistimed his peak and dropped to sixth place.
In March, he restored his momentum with a close second-place finish behind Andrew Jacked (Chinedu Andrew Obiekea) at the 2026 Arnold Classic. He also became the latest Men’s Open bodybuilder to qualify for the Olympia following his dominant Tampa Pro victory. With under eight weeks until the best in the world collide, Walker laid out his expectations for the event.
Nick Walker Says He Wins 2026 Mr. Olympia Even If Everyone Is at 100%
In the OlympiaTV YouTube video, Dennis James asked Walker about his biggest threat. Walker predicted he’d win the Olympia even if all his rivals came in at 100 percent.
“Nobody. Because you know what I’m tired of? I’m tired of everyone saying everyone has to be off for me to win. If everyone is on 100 percent, I will fucking win, and that’s that.”
Walker shared that if he wasn’t in the show, Lunsford would most likely emerge victorious:
“Probably Derek,” replied Walker. “Derek is the only one I haven’t beaten.”
When asked about who would place second, Walker dismissed the question and doubled down on his prediction to win:
“Don’t know, don’t care because I’ll be winning.”
According to Walker, he has to present an undeniable package and create an ‘oh shit’ moment to claim his first Sandow trophy.
“I have to be undeniable at that show. I have to walk out on that stage and make it known that I just won. The same way I just did Tampa, the same way I was at the 2021 Arnold, I have to walk out and people go oh shit, this is even better.”
Bodybuilding veterans favor Walker’s chances against Lunsford. King Kamali called Walker a ‘nightmare’ matchup for Lunsford and Hadi Choopan. He argued that Walker’s muscularity and stronger back poses could give him the edge onstage.
Between Lunsford, Choopan, Jacked, and Samson Dauda, Walker has his work cut out for him. All questions will be answered at the 2026 Mr. Olympia, set for September 24-27 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
