Henry Cavill Preparing For Witcher
Cavill has quickly gone from being a skinny looking Hollywood pretty boy into the earth-shattering jacked looking Man Of Steel. Cavill has been having quite a run in Hollywood since being cast as Superman. He’s played the role of Last Son of Krypton three times, sported an epic looking mustache in the latest Mission Impossible movie and now he’s playing the legendary “Witcher” video game(and novel series) character, Geralt of Rivia.
First of all how the hell do you manage to outa-angle a literal statue of yourself?? Henry somehow manages to look BIGGER than when he played Superman…a character that can literally move planets. Take this into consideration, in Man of Steel there is a famous scene where Henry comes out of the ocean shirtless looking very convincing as a man who can bend steel as a carnival clown bends balloons into animals.

The thing is, they had to base Cavill’s entire training regime around him physically peeking during the filming of that scene. This was the money shot, the scene that will make or break the movie, much like Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine scene in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Looking like a real-life comic book character requires timing.
Now, let’s circle back here to the present with Henry playing Geralt. In preparation for Man of Steel, Henry did a training system much closer something you would see in a CrossFit box (only this training actually included the proper form and made sense) than in a “Gold’s Gym” type of gym. Every day different, grueling and designed to break your body and mind. However, judging by the pictures Henry posts every now and then on his Instagram-looks like he is now more focused on a bodybuilding type of training. Just check out this picture;
“thank you to Mr Dave Rienzi for being such a wonderful guide.
My physical journey over the years has been an interesting one… I’ve been reflecting on them a lot recently and I’ve been very fortunate to work with some fantastic minds. … Recently I’ve been exploring some of the big players in bodybuilding, both from the past and the present. It’s absolutely fascinating to see what they put themselves through, the drive and mental strength required to get to such a place physically. Phil Heath in particular has caught my eye not only for his achievements but also for his genuinely humble and informative approach to his messaging. All this while being a 7x Mr Olympia. If you haven’t checked out his page it’s worth a peek”
Few key things here; 1. Dave Rienzi– strength and conditioning coach, that is the brains behind The Rock’s newest body transformation in the upcoming Fast and Furious spin-off movie and Henry Cavill’s newly acquired swoleness in the, also upcoming, Witcher series.
2. Henry is mentioning Phil Heath as a person he’s been looking into following his body recent transformation. Phil was on his way to become the greatest bodybuilder ever before getting dethroned last year at Mr. Olympia by Shawn Rhoden.
3. He is doing cable flies in the picture which is a classic bodybuilding exercise and judging by what he wrote, how he is looking these days…we can for sure expect a more bodybuilder looking Superman once Witcher hits Netflix.
