Chinedu Andrew “Jacked” Obiekea is riding high after back-to-back Arnold Classic wins. On March 29, 2026, he reflected on his success and shared that he has the mental edge heading into the Mr. Olympia.
Andrew Jacked has quickly become a dominant force in the Men’s Open class. The 2025 Mr. Olympia was his breakout performance; he pushed champion Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan en route to bronze. Jacked didn’t stop there. He dominated the Romania Pro to secure an early qualification for the next Mr. Olympia.
Instead of sitting out and waiting, Jacked got right back to work. He battled an all-time best Nick Walker at the 2026 Arnold Classic and won the $750,000 grand prize. Jacked used the momentum and earned another $250,000 after claiming the Arnold UK crown. Looking ahead, he’s now considered a top favorite for the sport’s biggest event of the year.
Andrew Jacked Reflects on 2026 Arnold Classic Ohio and UK Wins, Says He Has Mental Edge Over Mr. Olympia Lineup
In the video, Jacked shared that he plans to improve for the Mr. Olympia, and noted that training has been the biggest driver of change this season:
“I don’t like being content with the previous things that I’ve got. I like to have at least an inch of progress,” he shared. “The training definitely changed. I think the training is what really tuned up everything. The training tuned up the body.”
“I think that was the missing link. The coaching was good, but the training, something was missing. Now, it’s a yin-yang effect.”
Jacked’s confidence soared after three consecutive Pro show victories, and he said he is approaching ‘greater heights.’
“I don’t usually post stuff, like updates on Instagram, wherever I’m training. But recently, because of the confidence of how things are going, I like putting it all out there. I’m letting them know I’m coming. Get me. The confidence has been there. I’m putting in the work, and I know definitely we are approaching greater heights.”
After receiving judging feedback in Ohio, Jacked believes he’s on track for a shocking Olympia performance.
“After the Ohio, we got some feedback. I shouldn’t do this, but I should do this, this, and this. We locked on that. That’s why we came in here, he called the shots, I give it to them. They call, I give it to them. Yeah, I’m ready,” he said.
He expects to showcase improvements at Olympia and argued he has the mental edge over the lineup thanks to his victories.
“My job for now is to keep pushing. Of course, the Sandow is missing, so I’m definitely going for that. The thing I’m most happy about is the consistent improvements in every show.
At the Olympia, you will definitely see something more improved than what you’re seeing now. I think I will have some good advantages, contention-wise, against those guys. Mentally, now, I think I’m more ahead of them now, in terms of advantage.”
Jacked has been clear about his goals in 2026. His sole focus is on achieving Mr. Olympia glory, but he was adamant that he wants a two-man callout with Samson Dauda. Dauda won the Olympia title back in 2024 but dropped to fourth last year.
Jacked will aim to win the Mr. Olympia and Arnold Classic in the same season, as Lunsford accomplished in 2025. The 2026 Mr. Olympia is scheduled for September 24-27 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
