Most Mr. Olympia Wins

The athletes with the most Mr. Olympia titles, counted from verified Olympia results. Every Olympia division awards its own separate trophy, so each has its own board. Across all of them the highest count is 10, by Iris Kyle in Women's Bodybuilding. View methodology.

8 Olympia Wins
Record holder Ronnie Coleman United States Men's Open Bodybuilding

Ronnie Coleman leads with 8 Mr. Olympia titles.

  1. 2 Lee Haney 8 United States
  2. 1 Ronnie Coleman 8 United States
  3. 3 Phil Heath 7 United States

The table lists every athlete with at least one counted Olympia title, 19 of them, one title per year. Every Olympia division awards its own separate trophy, so each has its own board and the counts are not comparable across them. The 212 Olympia is one of those separate trophies: Flex Lewis's seven 212 titles are not Men's Open titles and are not counted here.

Most Olympia Wins by Trophy

This board counts Mr. Olympia titles only. Every Olympia division awards its own separate trophy, so the counts are not comparable across them.

About This List

The athletes with the most Mr. Olympia titles, counted from verified Olympia results. Every Olympia division awards its own separate trophy, so each has its own board. Across all of them the highest count is 10, by Iris Kyle in Women's Bodybuilding. Titles are counted from recorded results using a name-independent rule, not from hand-typed totals, and duplicate source rows for the same athlete, division and year are removed before counting.

Olympia wins are counted from official Olympia results only, one title per division per year, and each title stays in the division it was won in. Every Olympia division except the 212 counts toward these totals, so a Classic Physique or Figure Olympia title sits in them beside a Mr. Olympia.

The 212 is the one division this board leaves out. A 212 Olympia title is a 212 title rather than a Men's Open one, and this list has no column for it, so the seven 212 Olympia titles Flex Lewis won between 2012 and 2018 are not counted here or anywhere else on this page. Read the 212 record on the Men's 212 division page instead.

What the record shows beyond this list

This page ranks athletes. These six studies run the same archive the other way round, asking what the whole body of results says about how titles are won, at what age, and by whom. Each states its own sample and date range.
