About This List

Athletes who won a first Olympia title (any division except the 212) at the oldest age. Limited to champions with a recorded birthdate. The ranking is built from the bio data recorded against each athlete in our database, not from contest placings, so an athlete appears on this list only once we hold the measurement.

Age at first title is the contest year of an athlete's first Olympia win in any division except the 212, minus their birth year, using the same authoritative Olympia predicate as the rest of the site. Only the 70 Olympia champions with a recorded birthdate are ranked, so the list is limited to confirmed birthdates and is not a complete record of every champion.

What the record shows beyond this list

This page ranks athletes. These six studies run the same archive the other way round, asking what the whole body of results says about how titles are won, at what age, and by whom. Each states its own sample and date range.
