Bodybuilder Samson Dauda is turning heads once again courtesy of the progress he’s made since his 2024 Mr. Olympia win. On December 1, 2024, coach Chris Aceto discussed his soaring confidence, comparing him to Ronnie Coleman.

Samson Dauda undeniably presented an all-time best look at the ‘Super Bowl of Bodybuilding.’ He defeated favorites Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan to have his name permanently etched into the iconic Sandow trophy.

While most bodybuilders enjoy a lengthy off-season after winning the Olympia, that hasn’t been the case for Dauda. He immediately jumped into the upcoming 2025 Arnold Classic in hot pursuit of the $500,000 purse reserved for the winner. He extended rivals Lunsford and Choopan an open invitation to rematch, though it remains to be seen if either contender will take him up on the offer.

Could ‘The Nigerian Lion’ reign over the Men’s Open like Ronnie Coleman? ‘The King’ thinks so. Out of every bodybuilder he’s seen up until this point, Coleman believes Samson Dauda is most likely to replicate his sterling legacy. The latest to broach the subject was Chris Aceto, who believes Dauda continues to look more like Coleman with each passing day.

Chris Aceto Talks Samson Dauda’s Recent 325-Lb Physique Update, Says He’s Starting to Look like Ronnie Coleman

According to Aceto, Dauda is starting to look ‘Coleman-ish’ based on his latest physique update. He added that winning a Mr. Olympia title boosted his confidence which will only help him further his gains inside the gym.

“It’s legit [Samson Dauda’s 325-pound physique update], it’s legit,” shares Aceto. “He is starting to look a little Coleman-ish. He’s up there. That’s impressive.”

“He’s maybe six feet,” he shares. “The problem Dave, for people trying to win the Olympia against him or any Mr. Olympia is the win reinforces your confidence.

Because you need confidence in the first place to win it, it reinforces your belief in yourself, it reinforces the way you approach the contest in the first place. All that just amps up your gains.”

As the Mr. Olympia winner, Aceto said it puts Dauda in an ‘advantageous position’ over the rest of the competitors.

“It puts you in an advantageous position over everyone else.”

With the 2025 Arnold Classic approaching, Dauda has already hopped back into prep mode. He shared a clean full day of eating ahead of the event, showcasing five whole-food meals as he prepares to compete for a second title in Columbus, Ohio.

Having garnered comparisons to the great Ronnie Coleman, Dauda continues to reach new heights as an Open Bodybuilder. Don’t miss his attempt at gold when he storms the 2025 Arnold Classic stage in March!
