One of the sport’s most high-profile events is taking place this weekend. With the 2024 EVLS Prague Pro almost here, frontrunners Chris Bumstead and Martin Fitzwater shared physique updates on November 13, 2024, days from the event.
Chris Bumstead won his sixth consecutive Classic Physique Olympia title at the organization’s 60th anniversary. He issued a teary-eyed retirement announcement but walked it back days later, announcing his participation in the Prague Pro, but as an Open competitor.
While there’s been widespread discussions on how he’ll fare in the category, fans are also talking about Martin Fitzwater. In his debut on the Open Mr. Olympia stage, Fitzwater shocked the world en route to claiming fourth place. He intends to stamp his qualification for the 2025 Mr. Olympia in Prague but will have a stacked lineup to deal with, which includes former two-time 212 Olympia Shaun Clarida and Marcello De Angelis (Horse MD).

Donning a powerful front double biceps pose, Bumstead isn’t playing games ahead of the competition.
“This was my first time in 8 years doing more than 1 show in a year and getting a fun little rebound post show (I typically stop training for a while after the O to rest my body).
Can’t lie the pumps were funnn, but getting back on diet was not🙃” Bumstead shared.

Training under ‘Boss of Outlaw’ Stefan Kienzl, Fitzwater teased the package he’s bringing to Prague. He hit a strong abs and thigh pose, showing off his diced midsection and feathered quads. ‘The Martian’ also gave fans a look at his most muscular and front double biceps poses.
Chris Bumstead has been forthcoming with fans about his Open journey. However, if he wins the upcoming Prague Pro, he is unsure if he will compete at the 2025 Mr. Olympia in his new bodybuilding division. Moreover, he expressed uncertainty about attempting another prep.
“Who knows? I don’t know. Exactly. Whether or not I know the answer in my mind, I’m going to say I don’t know. Every year, I’m going to be like should I get the special invite this year? Tease it out there. Get people fired up for no reason you know,” said Bumstead. Yeah, I’ll be Kai Greene for the next 10 years.”
While some in the sport like Nick Walker and Steve Weinberger believe Bumstead could find success in the Open, others, such as Michal Krizo cast doubt on his ability to crack the top five when the curtains rise in Prague, leading to even more anticipation around the contest.
Already sold out, the 2024 EVLS Prague Pro promises to be one of the most exhilarating events of the 2024 bodybuilding season. Fitness Volt will have live coverage of the contest, don’t miss it!
