The 2024 Arnold Strongwoman & Strongman Classic took place on March 1-2, in Columbus, Ohio, in what turned out to be one of the most visited competitions the sports have ever seen. One reason for that is the fact that it features some of the most challenging events, as the athletes were required to perform some mind-blowing feats of strength. However, that brings a risk of injury. This was seen in the cases Evan Sinlgeton, Donna Moore, and Tom Evans, as both were forced to withdraw from the competition.

Evan Singleton

Evan Singleton is arguably the biggest name of the 2024 Arnold Strongman Classic that has withdrawn, as both him and the fans had some high expectations. He performed exceptionally well on day one, managing to get into third place overall.

Evan Singleton then opened up day two of the 2024 Arnold Strongman Classic solidly as well, still maintaining his third place. So, he was close to securing a podium finish, but bad luck struck him on the Apollon Wheels event. He attempted to lift and overhead press a 400-pound Axle, but was not successful. Evan seemed to be fine after the event, but it was soon announced that he withdrew. So, as of now, the reason for his withdrawal is unknown.

Note: We will update the article accordingly when more information about the withdrawal is revealed.

Donna Moore

Donna Moore completed day one with a pair of solid performances, but the start of day two had not gone as well for her. She only walked out for the first event of the second day before withdrawing, which was the Jeck Stone Carry. In the event, she was tasked with carrying a pair of heavy stones, where one weighed 100 kilograms (220.5 pounds) and the other 94 kilograms (207 pounds).

Moreover, Donna Moore carried the stones for an impressive distance of 8 meters, but showed signs of discomfort after dropping them to the floor. She started limping away to the back stage, and shortly after, she leaned on a crew member for additional stabilization.

The initial hopes about Donna Moore’s situation were that she strained a muscle or got a cramp, but the fact that she withdrew from the competition adds to the concerns. However, neither Donna, the organizers, nor the commentators, have revealed what the exact reason for her withdrawal was. So, hopefully it is nothing too severe.

Tom Evans

Tom Evans’ situation was very similar to Donna Moore’s, as his injury also occurred during the first event of day two. The men also had a carry to perform, but did so with a pair of Dinnie Stones. One stone weighed 188 kilograms (414.5 pounds), while the other weighed 145 kilograms (319.5 pounds).

Tom Evans only managed to take a few steps with the stones before dropping them, which came as a bit of a surprise. However, immediately after, Tom grabbed his bicep, seemingly indicating that something felt wrong.

Tom Evans had a similar situation during day one of the 2024 Arnold Strongman Classic, when he performed the Timber Carry event. He dropped the wooden frame suddenly, and made a similar gesture with his bicep.

So, it is clear that Tom Evans has a problem with one of his biceps muscles, but it is not clear how severe his injury is either. Like with Donna Moore, nothing has been revealed officially yet.

The 2024 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classic competitions proved to be quite entertaining over the two days, but were unfortunate for some athletes. Victoria Long and Maxime Boudreault were also forced to withdraw on day one after suffering injuries on the deadlift. Moreover, Inez Carrasquillo had an accident as well, hitting her face on the wooden frame. It caused her face to swell up, but she did not want to withdraw.
