We are in for a showdown of epic proportions when the Mr. Olympia show invades Las Vegas, Nevada. In recent Instagram posts shared on August 3, 2024, Hadi Choopan, Samson Dauda, and Nick Walker showed off monstrous physique updates just 10 weeks before stepping on stage.
Fans are ready to witness the upper echelon of the Open division wage war on the Mr. Olympia stage, who are all in pursuit of Derek Lunsford‘s title, which he accomplished last year by making history as the sport’s first-ever two-division Mr. Olympia winner.
Hadi Choopan placed runner-up at the 2023 Mr. Olympia behind his teammate Lunsford. Instead of a comfortable off-season, Choopan got back to work, laying claim to gold at the 2024 Arnold Classic Ohio and UK shows, where he bested Samson Dauda in both outings.
While Dauda took silver to ‘The Persian Wolf’ in his last two events, there’s no denying his mass — with enough conditioning, many believe he could swoop in and seize the Sandow trophy in the months to come. He recently moved his training camp to Kuwait at the Oxygen Gym to help prepare for the blockbuster competition.

‘The Mutant’ Nick walker is also out for blood after being forced out of the 2023 Olympia due to a career-altering hamstring and calf tear. Despite the setback, Walker bounced back successfully at the 2024 New York Pro, where he narrowly defeated Martin Fitzwater to snag his second title.

The Men’s Open lineup couldn’t be more fierce and with the show approaching soon, these Open mass monsters sent warning shots to each other with updates spread across social media.
Hadi Choopan
Hadi Choopan is determined to earn back the coveted Mr. Olympia title, working harder than ever to bring his best to the prestigious stage. Alongside his incredible physique update, Choopan shared a message with his competitors, making sure they know where they stand when it comes to beating him this year.
“If you had a dream that you defeated me, when you wake up in the morning, apologize to me and don’t forget ☝🏻” Choopan wrote.
Samson Dauda
Samson Dauda is doing all he can to improve his back, which was the biggest critique he has received in previous years. This time around, he is turning his back weakness into a strength before he finally returns to Mr. Olympia stage this October 10-13.
” 10 Weeks ⭕️” Dauda shared.
Nick Walker
Nick Walker is adamant he will be Mr. Olympia this year, focusing on improving his back, core, quads, and his chest to ensure he is number one ‘this year.’
“No fancy lights, straight outta bed” Walker shared.
The top Open contenders are under immense pressure to deliver their best looks in Las Vegas, Nevada as the Mr. Olympia is slated to celebrate its 60th anniversary. Dan Solomon has ensured fans that a historic entertainment-filled weekend awaits us.
Hany Rambod, who coaches Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan, expects both men to bring their all-time best to the stage in just 10 weeks. With Walker and Dauda in the mix, who have both placed as high as third on the prestigious stage, there’s no telling who will walk away draped in glory when battling on the Mr. Olympia stage.
