Samson Dauda, one of the world’s best Men’s Open competitors, is heading into a new chapter of his career. In a recent NPC News Online interview, Samson Dauda revealed that he will prepare for the 2024 Mr. Olympia at the Oxygen Gym in Kuwait. He also revealed that his body keeps growing from steady training and eating.
It’s been a non-stop action-packed bodybuilding journey for Open contender Samson Dauda. In 2023, he claimed first-place honors against Nick Walker at the Arnold Classic, setting himself up for a massive year in the sport.
From there, Dauda shined on the Mr. Olympia stage in third place. With Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford as the only two men to surpass him on the scorecards, many believe Samson Dauda could easily find himself as the Mr. Olympia winner in due time.
Samson Dauda recently tested his resolve at the 2024 Arnold Classic UK and Ohio contests. While he presented a next-level look, complete with renewed back fullness, he lacked the detail needed to stop Hadi Choopan from securing back-to-back wins.

With his eyes on the sport’s greatest prize, Dauda is making significant changes to his training camp. He parted ways with Milos Sarcev and revealed he will head to Kuwait at Oxygen Gym for his 2024 Mr. Olympia preparations.
“Yes. I’m getting ready in Kuwait. So, come this summer, I’ll be going over there to train and get ready for the Olympia. Yeah, a new chapter, something I’m looking forward to. Yeah, it’s going to be awesome,” Dauda shared.
Dauda doesn’t just plan to add size but said he’s working on his weak points during the 2024 season.
“Oh man, you know the idea is not just to get bigger but to make improvements and the main thing for us, the guys are making so many improvements to weak parts and that’s one thing I want to do when I go over there is to focus on that and actually bring improvements. Bring an improved package to the Olympia.”
Even though it hasn’t been his intention, Dauda revealed that he continues to grow and isn’t sure ‘where it’s going to end.’
“Yeah, it’s something weird. We can’t figure it out either. It’s not like we’re putting effort into it either. Even when we try not to grow, it’s just you go into the gym, you train, recover, and you’re just going, and we are looking at me every time and are like ‘What’s up with that, why are you growing?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know, I’m just doing what you tell me to do.’ So, at this point, I don’t know where it’s going to end but I’m just going to keep enjoying it and going with it.”
Oxygen Gym has helped shape some high-profile bodybuilders. For the last few years, former Mr. Olympia Brandon Curry has flown out to Oxygen Gym where he has dedicated himself wholeheartedly to training. Aside from Curry, former two-time Mr. Olympia Mamdouh ‘Big Ramy’ Elssbiay has also used the hub as his training spot.
The training principles of Oxygen Gym were brought into the spotlight in 2021 when Canadian Pro Regan Grimes traveled to the gym to transform his physique. He explained that members of the gym wouldn’t let him leave when he made requests to exit the country for the holidays.
While it remains uncertain what will come next for Samson Dauda, he appears excited to train at Oxygen Gym, which is known for catering to its athletes in terms of equipment and nutrition. Fans look forward to seeing the new physique Samson Dauda brings to the stage later this year at the 2024 Mr. Olympia!
