Bodybuilding legend Jay Cutler has mounds of great advice when it comes to achieving peak physical conditioning. In a recent YouTube video, Cutler reveals that the supplement Creatine can help increase strength, muscle development, and provide a host of other health benefits.

Jay Cutler, a mass monster of the 2000s, left a path of destruction in his wake, having acquired a total of four Mr. Olympia titles. But it wasn’t just Mr. Olympia titles that made Cutler so famous, it was his fierce rivalry with former eight-time titleholder Ronnie Coleman. In 2006, Cutler became the chosen bodybuilder to dethrone who many regard as the greatest of all time.

Making his legacy even more jaw-dropping, Cutler became the only bodybuilder in history to win back his Mr. Olympia title, a feat he made possible in 2009 after dispatching Branch Warren and Dexter Jackson in the finals. This performance also saw Cutler etch his name into the sport’s history books with his iconic quad stomp pose

Now, in retirement, Cutler remains dedicated to maintaining his physique, albeit with much less mass than his prime look. Cutler recently achieved a physique transformation, inspiring fans around the world. In his latest venture, Cutler examined the benefits of one of the most studied and popular supplements in the industry — creatine.

Jay Cutler Talks Creatine and Dosages: “The All-Around Benefit Is Going To Be Suitable For Anyone”

Elaborating on the benefits of creatine, Jay Cutler discussed why it helps athletes “get more out of your muscles.”

“Benefits of Creatine: Strength, you’re gonna be able to push yourself a little bit harder and you are gonna get more out of your muscles because of the ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) and everything else that your body is going to put out to utilize the Creatine. You always want to be at your best performance” Cutler said.

As for his creatine dose, Cutler typically takes five to ten grams daily around his training sessions.

“I take usually around five grams sometimes before training sometimes I might follow that up with another five grams. Recommended dosage can vary, as a professional bodybuilder I like to use it twice around my training session ideally your body is a sponge while you train.”

Cutler stands by the performance-enhancing benefits of creatine.

“If you’re an athlete, I mean if you are doing other kinds of sports or activities I would always suggest take it around those biggest outputs.

Make sure if you are going to stay on schedule you stay on that schedule and your performance definitely will increase, your strength will definitely go up, your muscle fullness will definitely increase. The all-around benefit is going to be suitable for anyone.”

The supplement industry has been scrutinized by prominent figures in the bodybuilding community as of late. Aside from Cutler, bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger discussed the role supplements play in maintaining a healthy body. Specifically, “The Austrian Oak” explained that illegal ingredients are often hiding in the products. To avoid this dilemma, the bodybuilding superpower says to ensure all your supplements are third-party tested and verified.

As one of the most studied and popular supplements on the market, creatine remains a go-to for several athletes and bodybuilders. As for Jay Cutler, he believes anyone with an active lifestyle who lifts weights would benefit from the substance.
