Bodybuilder Jeremy Buendia has ambitious plans on the horizon. In a recent YouTube video shared on October 2, 2024, Buendia announced that he plans to enter his first Arnold Classic next March and revealed that 2025 will likely be his last year competing.
The former four-time Men’s Physique Olympia champion Jeremy Buendia has without a doubt overcome several obstacles throughout his tenure. After suffering a loss to Brandon Hendrickson in 2018, he took some much-needed time off from bodybuilding. Last year, fans were excited to see him take the stage once again, though his return didn’t go exactly as planned.
Despite his promising physique updates and full days of eating he shared with his followers, Jeremy Buendia didn’t fare so well at the 2023 Mr. Olympia. After all was said and done, Buendia walked away with an eighth-place finish, though considering the time he took off, it was still rather impressive. These results didn’t settle well with Buendia, and he vowed to win back the title in 2024.
In April, Buendia suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in a running accident, leaving his 2024 bodybuilding season in limbo. Unfortunately, just one month later, Buendia shared that he re-ruptured his Achilles tendon and would need to undergo surgery, which put an end to any competitive aspirations in 2024.
Jeremy Buendia Begins Prep for 2025 Arnold Classic, Says It’s Likely His Last Year Competing
While he may not be able to seek redemption on the 2024 Mr. Olympia stage, Jeremy Buendia has big plans for next year. In a recent YouTube video, Buendia revealed that he intends to apply for the 2025 Arnold Classic, an invitation-only event, which would mark his first time competing at the prestigious contest.
“This is actually the beginning of prep for me. The goal, you guys, is the Arnold Classic, that’s the goal. You’re hearing it here first. I’m going to apply for the Arnold Classic, hopefully, they accept me and get me on the stage.

This will be the first time ever doing the Arnold Classic.”
Buendia also drops the bombshell that the 2025 bodybuilding season is most likely going to be the last year he competes and he intends to go out with a bang. He also hopes for the first time ever, to showcase his physique at 100%, a lofty goal he has yet to reach during his illustrious career.
“This is a very good chance this will be the last year I compete, you guys, and make the most out of it. I’m going to put on a show for you, got to come in 100% on stage. I got to do it at least once in my career. You know I’ve never been my absolute best and that’s what we’re shooting for.”
“We’re going to end this bodybuilding career strong” said Buendia.
Even though Jeremy Buendia has to sit out of the 2024 Mr. Olympia, that isn’t stopping him from sharing his thoughts about his fellow competitors. He recently shared his predictions, not only for Men’s Physique but also for Classic Physique and the Men’s Open, highlighting the athletes’ strengths and weaknesses ahead of the event.
Jeremy Buendia has endured setbacks but he continues to push forward with a positive attitude and drive to be the best. Fans can look forward to seeing his progress and hopefully watch him take to the 2025 Arnold Classic stage next year!
