“So today’s going to be a little different of a video but we’re going to hit a workout and I’m going to breakdown my predictions for Olympia.”
Men’s Physique Top 5 Picks
- Ryan Terry
- Diogo Montenegro
- Erin Banks
- Emanuel Hunter
- Corey Morris
Considering Jeremy Buendia has vast experience competing within the Men’s Physique category, it was no surprise he had lots to say about this year’s competitors, including Ryan Terry who is facing obstacles with his weight as he prepares to try to defend the Men’s Physique title.
“Obviously, we have Ryan Terry the returning champ. Seeing his progress photos leading up are absolutely insane.
This is the best Ryan we’ve ever seen. I commented on his post the other day like ‘damn man two times is coming’ and he said he’s having trouble getting down to weight. I don’t have any doubts that Ryan’s going to be able to do it but it’s definitely going to be an uphill battle for him that other guys might not have to face that he’s competing against” Buendia explained.
Classic Physique Top 5 Picks
- Chris Bumstead
- Wesley Vissers
- Ramon Dino
- Urs Kalecinski
- Breon Ansley
Buendia expressed that Wesley Vissers has been on the rise as of late and fully expects him to give five-time Classic Physique Olympia champion Chris Bumstead a run for his money on the Olympia stage.
“Wesley Vissers is on the rise. He won the Arnold Classic this past year. Beating Ramon Dino and that was a huge shock for everybody. From an upper body standpoint I believe he can stand with anyone including Cbum.”
“Where he is lacking is his leg development and his fullness and size in his legs. That’s what’s held him back in the past. So given that Wesley has made the improvements to his legs, I think he could be the one to push Chris this year.”
Men’s Open Top 5 Picks
- Derek Lunsford
- Hadi Choopan
- Samson Dauda
- Andrew Jacked
- Nick Walker
Of course, Buendia didn’t forget to share his thoughts on who will take the top spot in the Men’s Open, which is packed with talent all vying for the golden Sandow trophy this year.
“I feel like there is a handful of guys in the Open bodybuilding division that have separated themselves from the pack even at the Olympia level.”
Credentialed figures in the sport have been open about discussions regarding who might take home the world’s most prestigious title. Most notably, former four-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler revealed his ‘three kings’ of the Open class at the 2024 Mr. Olympia. He named Derek Lunsford, Samson Dauda, and Hadi Choopan as the rightful top contenders he expects to wage war for gold.
The 60th anniversary of the Mr. Olympia is an event no one will want to miss. With an abundance of talented bodybuilders gathering on the prestigious stage in hopes of being crowned the champion, fans can anticipate an unforgettable weekend come October 10-13.
