John Haack is considered by many fans to be the greatest of all-time in powerlifting, due to his impressive strength and bodyweight proportion. Despite being relatively young, Haack continues to amaze fans with his impressive feats of strength. This was displayed in Haack’s recent training session that resulted in a new deadlift PR of 415 kilograms (914.9 pounds). The video footage of this PR was shared on his Instagram account, and it quickly gained the attention of fans and other powerlifters.
The video showed John Haack performing the deadlift with a conventional stance and using a mixed grip, which is considered to be one of the most challenging variations of the lift. The only piece of equipment he used was a lifting belt, which is in line with the regulations of raw powerlifting. John struggled quite a bit, having almost failed the lift at the top portion with his body shaking uncontrollably due to the massive effort. However, all that matters is that Haack managed to lock it out and set a new PR.
“Who’s competing?
PR single with 415kgs/915lbs for last heavy single on deads leading into Ghost Clash.”

John Haack revealed what his intentions are in the caption of his Instagram post, saying that he is going to compete at the 2023 WRPF Ghost Clash, which will take place on February 18-19, in Florida. Even though the competition is three weeks away, this was Haack’s final heavy deadlift session. He will now fine tune the small details and try to lift as much, or even heavier in the competition.
John Haack has taken part in 26 sanctioned powerlifting competitions so far, with the majority of them being at the highest level. He has recorded 22 victories and claimed titles of 2016 IPF World Champion, as well as numerous National Championships. Haack also holds numerous All-Time World Records in the u90KG and u100KG weight classes.

Haack has been absent from competition for over four months, which means he has had time to practice. Keeping this in mind, it is likely that John Haack will put up a great performance at the 2023 WRPF Ghost Clash, and potentially even break some All-Time World Records. There are just a few weeks left, so it’ll be interesting to see what he accomplishes.
