2025 is clearly Phillip Herndon’s year as he has reached a whole new level in a span of just a couple months. He recently added another appearance to his resume, having taken part in the 2025 PLU Ghost Clash 4, which took place on April 13th in Miami, Florida. Phillip managed to advance the raw All-Time World Record once again, locking out a massive 422.5-kilogram (931.5-pound) squat.
Phillip Herndon opened up with a familiar but notable squat of 400 kilograms (881.8 pounds). Seeing how smoothly it went, Phillip decided to immediately jump up to 422.5 kilograms (931.5 pounds) in hopes of setting a new world record. Unfortunately, that didn’t go as planned, since his squat was ruled out by the judges due to his depth.
Phillip Herndon had no other choice but to attempt the same weight again, looking to seize his final opportunity and set a new world record. Complying with the rules of the raw division, Phillip put on a pair of knee sleeves, a lifting belt, and a pair of wrist wraps. He then completed his squat once again, this time dropping down slightly deeper and thus making sure that the judges validate his attempt and the record.
*Phillip Herndon also held the previous U125KG Raw Squat All-Time World Record of 420-kg (925.9-lb). He set that record at the 2025 WPPL Pro Invitational.
