Questions surrounding whether or not Kai Greene will compete at the 2019 Mr. Olympia have been answered. Kai Greene will NOT compete in Mr. Olympia or any other bodybuilding competition until further notice, due to a role in a movie.

It was uncertain whether we would see Greene again at the biggest bodybuilding competition. Despite the fact that he had not said he would, he is qualified for the event by receiving a special invite from the Chief Olympia Officer Dan Solomon. Additionally, with the removal of Shawn Rhoden from being able to compete, this leaves the door open for someone of his experience to step up.

However, our reliable sources in India and Generation Iron now confirms that Kai Greene will not be taking part in Olympia, or any bodybuilding competitions in the foreseeable future.

Greene recently earned a role in an upcoming South Indian Indian movie by the name of “Pogaru.” The movie is set to be released next year, and is being directed by Nanda Kishore. Kai Greene will be playing the role of an antagonist, opposite Dhruva Sarja. Moreover, the film is a product of Gangana, Jagadamba Production house.

This is a big opportunity for Kai Greene

Greene has been known to test the waters outside of bodybuilding. He has been filming the movie in India, The filming will commence through September, eliminating him from the Olympia competition. Additionally, he is promoting the opening of a chain of Dynamik Gyms at the same time.

While these endeavors may be keeping him out of competition for now, Greene is still staying in phenomenal shape. It was due to this, that fans were left to speculate on his intent to compete this year. Nevertheless, it is nice to see Green continue to venture into other fields of interest.

Even though Kai Greene will not be competing at the 2019 Olympia, there will still be plenty of big competitors at the event. Congratulations to him for landing this big role.
