Kevin Levrone Shows Off Ripped Physique for 61st Birthday With ‘A Clean Bill of Health’

Retired IFBB Pro Kevin Levrone‘s dedication to the gym is stronger than ever. On July 15, 2025, he shared a ripped physique update at 61 years old and discussed his health, revealing that his blood panels are perfect. 

“Don’t buy into the belief that “you’re just getting old.” Take control of your life. Reclaim your health. It won’t happen overnight, but once you start making changes, your body will follow.”

Levrone was a force to be reckoned with in his prime back in the 1990s. He came extremely close to winning the Mr. Olympia title but had the unfortunate task of facing both Dorian Yates and Ronnie Coleman, two highly dominant champions.

He’s widely regarded as one of the best bodybuilders not to have won the Sandow trophy, alongside Flex Wheeler. Throughout his tenure, Levrone proved himself with bubbly muscle volume and sharp conditioning, which led to a pair of Arnold Classic victories in 1994 and 1996. With health taking center stage in his 60s, Levrone has made it a point to stay in tip-top shape.

Kevin Levone Celebrates 61st Birthday With Ripped Physique Update, Talks Health, Says His Blood Panels Are ‘Perfect’ 

In the post, Levrone shared that he turned 61 with a clean bill of health. He’s not taking any medications, and his blood panels came back clear. 

“AGE IS JUST A NUMBER

We set a goal and I feel great because I committed to it and followed through. Turning 61 my goal was simple to be in the best shape possible, with a clean bill of health. No medications. Perfect blood panels. Feeling youthful and energized every single day.”

He stressed that he still has goals to achieve and encouraged others to follow in his footsteps: 

“I still have more goals ahead, but I’m incredibly proud of the progress that has been made so far. I wanted to share this with all of you to say this:

Make a plan. Invest in yourself. Your body will thank you,” Levrone shared.

Levrone’s days of lifting heavy are behind him, and he admits his training looks different today. Now that he no longer desires walking around at 250-260 pounds, his training has become more functional, with less emphasis on hypertrophy. In addition, he has also adopted intermittent fasting, which he said has helped him feel more energized.

“I want to be able to jump,” Kevin Levrone shared. “I want to be able to move, I want to be able to do push-ups, sit-ups, whatever it is, run, jog, do box jumps, so that’s where I’m at right now.” 

Aside from Levrone, other pro bodybuilders have attracted attention thanks to their impressive physiques. Lee Labarada, a prominent figure in the 1990s bodybuilding scene, also remains in tremendous shape at 65 years old. 

It’s clear Levrone’s new training system is producing results. In a sport where longevity is hard to come by, Levrone is proving that it’s possible with hard work and dedication.
