Krzysztof Wierzbicki recently shared a huge 510-kilogram (1,124.4-pound) deadlift from low blocks, which he performed during a training session. He has previously lifted over half a ton as well, but has never reached these heights. So, it is clear that Krzysztof is preparing to make history.

Krzysztof Wierzbicki performed the 510-kilogram (1,124.4-pound) deadlift like he would any other, despite doing so from low blocks. So, he put on lifting straps while also utilizing the sumo stance. Interestingly, the powerlifter did not use a lifting belt to perform the pull. While Krzysztof did have to grind in order to reach lockout, it was clear that he would end up succeeding from the start.

It is important to note that Krzysztof Wierzbicki’s 510-kilogram (1,124.4-pound) deadlift was performed from low blocks, which reduced his range of motion. That did make the lift a bit easier, but definitely did not take away from the overall impressiveness.

As per one of Krzysztof Wierzbicki’s previous posts, he is currently coming back from an injury, stating that it is “not ideal yet, but slowly bouncing back”. Moreover, his profile description reveals that a 520-kilogram (1,146.4-pound) deadlift is his ultimate goal for now, which would be insane.

Not only would that break the record, but it would also be a deadlift of insane proportions since it would come out to nearly 5x his bodyweight. For reference, the current 501-kg (1,104.5-lb) All-Time World Record belongs to Hafthor Bjornsson, who weighed in excess of 200 kilograms (440.9 pounds) at the time.

Krzysztof Wierzbicki is now back in the race for the deadlift record against other powerlifters, such as Jamal Browner, Danny Grigsby, and others. Another athlete that recently emerged with a huge lift is Ventsislav Dimitrov, who locked out a 505-kilogram (1,113.3-pound) deadlift with a sumo stance and lifting straps.

One problem that all of the aforementioned powerlifters are facing is the fact that lifting straps are not allowed in their sport. So, despite being able to deadlift as much weight, they have to improve their grip strength in order to validate it in a sanctioned powerlifting competition.

That being said, Krzysztof Wierzbicki has not taken part in a sanctioned powerlifting competition since late 2021. Regardless, he has tons of experience in the sport since he has a total of 37 sanctioned powerlifting appearances to his name so far, along with dozens of gold medals.

Krzysztof Wierzbicki seems confident of achieving more progress in the future. So, we could definitely see him deadlift 510 kilograms (1,124.4 pounds) from the ground very soon. It is not completely clear where he stands with his injury currently or when he plans to compete again. But the situation is looking increasingly better for Krzysztof.
