Bodybuilder Michal ‘Krizo’ Krizanek is ramping up his training intensity ahead of his next contest appearance. On March 15, 2025, he blasted his chest with a brutal workout nine weeks from his splash at the 2025 Pittsburgh Pro show.
Michal Krizo is eager to step back onstage following a brief hiatus, thanks to an untimely shoulder injury, which required an extensive operation. In his last contest, Krizo claimed third place behind Behrooz Tabani and William Bonac at the 2024 Empro Classic Pro in Spain.
He intends to qualify for the Mr. Olympia contest this season. However, to do so, he’ll have a star-studded lineup of talent to best at the Pittsburgh Pro. Names like Nick Walker, Martin Fitzwater, Bonac, Vitaliy ‘Good Vito’ Ugolnikov, and James Hollingshead stand in his way of earning an elusive qualification for the 2025 Mr. Olympia, held in Las Vegas.

“I have divided the muscle groups into separate days now. It’s divided into six days.”
- Smith Machine Incline Press
- Flat Dumbbell Bench Press
- Seated Cable Flyes
- Machine Chest Press
- Pec Fly Machine
Since his shoulder injury, Krizo always starts his chest days with Smith incline presses.
“Because of the shoulders so that I don’t start with free weights. For the safety. If I did dumbbells as the first exercise, it might not be too good to stretch it all the way down. That (pec deck) could be a good starter too, sure.”
He also touched on whether he includes cheat meals during prep.
“I do. I am allowed to do a fine big meal every weekend. But, so it’s not sweet. No sweet bullshit, and no fried bullshit. So a burger, for example, or sushi. Things like that, a bit healthier. But it’s one meal in an unlimited amount,” he shared.
Krizo has been open with fans about his progress ahead of the Pittsburgh Pro. He recently shared his high-protein five-meal full day of eating to ensure he boasts enough lean muscle and fullness onstage when it’s time to perform. He also has kept his followers up-to-date on his training endeavors, having showcased a mass-building chest and biceps workout for a balanced physique in his next outing.
The nearing Pittsburgh Pro will be a telling event for those following the sport. Whichever athlete emerges with the victory, will have considerable momentum heading into the biggest show of the year, scheduled for October 9-12 in Sin City.
